I knew Melo was overrated when he beat Dirk in the playoffs. Dirk had the better head-to-head stats but media ignored it and hyped up Melo.

But Melo is second best for sure. But it doesn't matter because he's playing for a crappy team. It would have been the perfect situation for him in Chicago. The Bulls are a great defensive team but just needed that one guy who could score like Melo can. They'd probably be playing in the NBA finals next season with Melo. Now Melo can stay in New York and struggle to make it to 8th place (in the pathetic East) and lose in the first round.
