Pass for being the best point guard, better than melo, able to lead a team to a ring, etc. etc.

He gets no pass at all. I would take Westbrook over him, but i'd be hesitant because Westbrook doesn't play smart bball so if his shot isn't falling he can do more harm than good many times.

"3rd round virgin" "2 of 5" "Love never made the playoffs"

Most likely the same fans disrespecting the 60s....

God you "basketball fans" are good at appreciating... No need for you scum.

How does he get a pass when it's brought up every time he's compared to another player?

How many times do you hear: "He's overrated, can't even get past the 2nd round, at least _____ went to the ECF/Finals, imagine _____ on this STACKED Clippers team?"

Why are you acting like you wouldn't want him on the Knicks tho?

He does gets a pass by the media. It's almost to a comical degree.

But on ISH a lot of people call him out. As you can see in this thread.

Because this is Lebron's league, he's expected to win every single year. Everyone else doesn't even matter, they'll just losing in one of the earlier rounds so who cares when. Even the second best player in Durant get a pass not always losing. But when Lebron loses in the Finals with close to no help, it's when people jump on him.

None of those things have anything to do with not making the 3rd round. The 3rd round means nothing. it never has. It never will. You win or you dont. Or at least...play for the chance to win. Going out in round 2 instead of 3 means next to nothing. Nobody bumps up Gasol and Zach for making the 3rd round because it makes no difference.

Its just clueless fan talk that not one coach, GM, or player would judge a player like Chris Paul by.

So getting swept in the first round is the same as losing in 7 games in the finals? Both teams are the same thing, losers?

I don't judge CP3 for not having won a ring, but I'd sure rather see the Hawks make the finals than endlessly lose in the first or second round.

Finals matter a bit history wise. Everything short is just white noise.

why do people act like pgs has been winning regularly in this league. The last pg that won was in the 1980's. And why do people act like cp3 isnt damaged goods? And why do people act like cp3 isnt playing in the west and is the man of his teams. Comapared that to westbrook who has durant saving his ass despite making them worse. Compare to parker who has popovich system. Compare that to rose who plays in the east and missed almost half the season yet his team still no. 1 in the league. Compare that to rondo who has the big 3 backing him. The only player that can compare to him is curry and curry hasnt made it to the 3rd round either.

The Bulls that year won at a 68 win pace in the games he played. They won at a legendary rate when he played....and I wanna say a 46 win pace without him. Thats why they were #1 with him missing time. Not because without him they were kicking ass.

They were...ok.

Thats what they have been without Rose for a while now. Passable.

real question is why does melo keep on getting passes.
