Who's gonna save Bron? They would just keep passing up the ball to each other until the clock runs out.
"10 seconds left in the 4th, game on the line, Lebron passes to Lebron, passes to Lebron again, and passed again. That's it, game's over clock runs out."
5 MJ wins this one easily.

5 mjs would murk 5 lebrons. plus mjs would have more stamina and endurance, and lebrons would be highly prone to cramping.

Obviously 5 Jordans would win. If you had 5 LeBron's on a team, no one would take the last shot in a close game and you'd get constant 24 second violations.

Yes D-Whine has shitty finals but Wade being carried needs to stop. Wade played well against Indiana. He actually was the MVP of that series. Lebron... 7 points in a supposed to be closed out game.
Also, there would be no Ray Allen or Chris Bosh to save LeBron.

"Bron had me blinded man. He wins you over completely. He makes you feel like you're his best friend. He'll party with you, train with you, dance on the sideline with you... Look, growing up I was obsessed with the Thundercats. Bron found out and he had this artists make me a painting where it was me playing basketball, but I looked like Panthro. He would call me Panthro all the time, and I called him Lion-O. We used to joke about how Dwight (Howard, then their nemesis with the Orlando Magic) was Mumm-Ra." I ask Williams where that painting is now, and he crumbles his napkin and tosses it over his shoulder, then shrugs. "I couldn't get Bron to pick up my calls for a week after 'The Decision,' so finally I just sent him a text, I just said, Lion-O would never leave Panthro out in the cold. Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat." But that's how he is... That's who he is. He makes you feel like a million bucks and then steps over you like a bad penny on his way out the door."

The way I visualized it my head, Lebron is more ball dominant, and with his skills it's amazing on five on five, but wouldn't translate that well with four other Lebron's not getting to do what they do best. (Would kill regular NBA teams, but we're talking vs 5 Jordan's)
While Jordan's game is more of a quick move, fake, open shot, if not pass. Which would translates well since the person he passes to is also going to do the same thing. Just quick decisions. Good shot yes, if not pass it to the other Jordan who's going to make a quick decision. This truly will be like the 2014 Spurs on steroids. (Someone else said that the Lebron team would be the Spurs on steroids, because Lebron is more of a passer. But Lebron is too ball dominant for that system, while Jordan's game is based on quickly creating, quickly making the decision to shoot or pass it off to a man in a better position.)
So that's the way it played out in my head as I read the title. Based on their styles.

lol at size factor. MJ is a better man to man defense and a great elite help defender. Lebron would have difficulty to blow by MJ off the dribble and get surrounded while he is posting. I have doubt that lebron could be able to stay in front of MJ and able to guard MJ's post.

I mean you're wasting your life by negging JStern whenever the time comes up for you to be able to neg me again on an NBA forum, all because I teased you about being beta? Lebron.
Because 5 Lebrons playing within the flow of the game is this year's Spurs v3.0 (unless it's a buzzer beater like someone mentioned, they'll go in a passing loop and clock violaion)
5 MJs is like 1 MJ, since only 1 MJ is having the ball at any given time anyway.
Im tempted to say Lebron, but only because he can play 1-4 with minimal difficulty and he would not be disadvantaged at the 5 spot in this scenario.
But then again, im having a hard time picturing 5 Lebrons and MJs running basketball sets and not just more or less isoing to score. Which would put MJ ahead.

You are right, I envision it the same. Jordan is smarter, and much quicker decision maker, who doesnt need the ball to be effective.
Problem with Jordan was he didnt trust teammates in the beginning, but when he did later on - he was a tripple-double machine when playing point, he involved them better than Lebron can. Imagine what he could do with teammates he can actually trust, i.e. 5 x himself?
Five bloodthirsty killers coming at soft Lebrons? It would be a massacre, Jordans would live in Lebrons heads rent free.
LeBird
07-11-2014, 07:02 AM
5 Lebrons will own this game, and it isn't even close. MJ only makes sense for 3 positions, SF, SG and PG. Lebron plays them with ease as well as PF and since it is him and MJ against each other as Cs he owns that match-up too.
Only a complete stan would say otherwise.

I think Jordan would win despite a slight disadvantage on the boards. Lebron's rebounding edge isn't nearly as big as some people seem to think. Jordan was a far better offensive rebounder, and was averaging 6-7 rpg on a team with more good rebounders than Lebron has had on his teams when he's been averaging 8 rpg.

To be honest, there is no need to have GOAT in this discussion.
How about 5 Birds vs 5 Lebrons? I have Birds taking it, they would outclass Lebrons just as well.
In a 1on1 situation, its different. But 5 on 5.....? For the same reason i also think 5 Pippens would win i think the Lebron team would win, there is just to much versatility on both ends... I mean those guys naturally ping pong between essentially all positions throughout their careers on both ends.... they will be having a dramatical rebounding/defensive advantage (especially interior) and they are more unselfish so i think the 5 Pippens/Lebrons would be more complementary players than 5 Jordans would aswell...
Lebron/Pippen knew how to play PG or SG or SF or PF traditionally and could defend them all....... Jordan was strictly a pure SG, he knew only that, scoring, he was the best at it.... but 5 Jordans would be 5 shooting guards fighting for who should shoot/score and heavily undersized at 3 other positions.... that wouldnt be a problem with 5 Lebrons/Pippens, they could play any role very well due to their size/athleticism combined with the skills they had... pass-first, score-first, strictly defense/rebounding focus, whatever...

I don't know. But if 1 MJ beats 1 Lebron in a one-on-one, wouldn't 5 MJ beat 5 Lebrons too?
Although Lebron's the better 3 point shooter so team Lebron probably has better spacing, probably the better rebounding team too. Tough call.
this thread is so shit like every other thread with Lebron.
Lebron would win of course, mostly because he's versatile as hell.
Lebron came into the league as a point guard
Played for a few seasons as SG
Is a SF
Has been playing PF lately and has a body of a PF.
Of course Lebron would win, he's so versatile and has the body that can go along with playing at least 4 of the 5 positions effectively.
Also, what people seem to be missing is. There will be all kinds of mismatches everywhere. Lebron could dump the ball down low and have a mismatch whenever he wants.

LeBron doesn't really take advantage of his size. He doesn't play big, he's more of a face up perimeter player. Jordan would definitely be able to stay in front of him and disrupt his dribble, make him take long jumpshots. His size on defense is more of a factor, but would he be able to stop the greatest scorer ever? I'd have to go with Jordan.
