Good for him. Hope he goes to Chicago personally and can take some of the pressure of Rose's knees.

Melo, just please confirm that you're definitely not signing with the Lakers so I can go back to calling you an overrated chucker.

Chicago should've been his first choice all along.
Great defense that needs a big time scorer.

Why do people continuously report on Melo's free agency as if hes a difference maker??

And I thought Melo already said (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/carmelo-return-knicks-win-new-york-article-1.1860680) he wanted to re-sign with the Knicks? Whatever... Chicago is the best fit for him, anyway.
If Melo couldn't handle Jeremy Lin, what makes you all think he can handle Derrick Rose?
Oh right, Derrick Rose won't play a game. :lol

The best basketball minds in the world know what Melo can do for a team, he has never been on a great basketball team so how do you know he isn't a difference maker?

Tell that Miss Honey Nut Cheerios. She clearly makes the decisions with that family. That or Melo is either stupid, or quite simply cares more about making bigger salary in a city that costs more to live anyway. If he cared about winning, Chicago is by far the most obvious choice, and fit for his abilities. He wouldn't bother being critiqued about defense, or rebounding ever again. Just score, and win.

Chicago should be such a no-brainer for Melo. Great defensive team, good teammates, good coach...basically the exact opposite of what he's ever had in NY. What more could you want?
Lebron's decision I think should come down to Wade and his health. If I were Bran, I wouldn't see much of a future in Miami with Wade taking up all of that salary...he looked absolutely d-o-n-e towards the end of the playoff run. Next couple of years will be wasted if he stays in Miami with an even better Western Conference gearing up.

Agreed. It showed how obsessed he truly is with her when he wanted to fist fight KG. Loving your wife is one thing, but letting her make all the decisions is another.

F that. Just gimme Stephenson and call it a night. Currently in the works for mirotic :facepalm
Melo is stupid. Nothing against him as a player, but sign with Chicago at a discount if u really want them. He's basically waiting for them to strip down to give him max. Which I hate to break it to him, they don't want too. They've actually added salary (Mirotic) since this has began.
A team whose depth covers them in case Rose gets hurt is being asked to get rid of all the depth to accommodate his larger salary.

Why do people assume the Bulls D would still be good if you remove a good defensive player and insert Melo?

Why do people assume the Bulls D would still be good if you remove a good defensive player and insert Melo?
Because the starting forwards after the Deng trade were Dunleavy and Boozer. With Anthony signed it would be him and Taj. The difference between Taj's defense and Boozers defense is much broader than the difference between Dunleavy and Anthony. It will be a net gain for the defensive side of the ball.
Plus, Butler will be guarding the #1 perimeter player from the opposing team the majority of the minutes and Taj and Joakim are so versatile you could always put Anthony on the most favorable matchup any night.

Someone must have paid LaLa to accept Chicago, there has to be a kick back somewhere for her.
I think if Chicago gets to 20 mill they are a significant threat. I just dont see Zen agreeing to help a eastern conference team with a S&T. He is going to want to rape. He isnt the type I will take anything instead of nothing.

You can't do that unless knicks participate. It's not allowed. You can't sign another teams player and trade him immediately.

Bruh ...
Boozer is atrocious defensively, while providing none of the shot creating, volume scoring we need. The grade A stuff Melo provides. Ontop of it Anthony is a better individual defender than Boozer in a vacuum.
Now, if Thibs could mask Boozer's inadequacies, with none of the rewards, you don't think he could do the same for Melo?
This team:
Noah
Gibson
Melo
Butler
Rose
Is a defensive juggernaut, with the necessary elite shot creating, volume scoring from 2x players that allows you to compete for championships.
He's a perfect fit, for basketball reasons.

Not enough offense to win though.. It'll be iso melo all day..
Rose is a major question mark, plus they have no bench. Add a decent 6th man and some shooters different story:cheers:

So I don't get the story then. Knicks won't do sign and trade. But if third team brought in it's ok? How? Knicks won't do sign and trade.

How do you know the Knicks won't do a sign and trade? Because a bunch of losers and their multiple sources told you....
Phil Jackson is no idiot. He will make the best long term decision for the Knicks. IF Carmelo wants the Bulls move (which is not happening imo) then he should (and will) milk the Bulls for as much as possible ... Think some combo of picks, Mirotic and McDermott. Who cares if they have to take on Boozer? It's a one year deal and they are going to stink next season. Start Amare and Boozer and that pathetic defensive combo will close to guarantee a good lotto pick.
Multiple 1st round picks and loads of cap space in 2015. Phil and the Knicks would be happy with that.

You are stupid. Nothing against you, but the bus w a cheap owner and nobody to pass to is asking to be a chiclet on a mid seed type team.
Find a rich owner and a gm that wants to build around you and put you in a system

It's been widely, widely reported that Phil would do a sign and trade with Chicago if Melo is set on leaving. Why would we not? Plenty of good pieces we could get back.
Just end this shit already, make a decision

Too be totally honest, without taking on Boozer it's:
Mirotic
1st
McDermott or another pick
Price goes up if we take on Boozer. I don't want Butler or Taj, great players, but what could they do for the Knicks? If we do a S&T, should put the tank and development of young players in full effect.

I see what you're saying, but if you knew more about our draft picks and Mirotic you would probably hold a different opinion of our offence. Plus a possibility of Gasol, depending on outcomes.
If we get Melo, we would be the next contender right beside Spurs.
I think we can all agree that these prima donna stars need to make a decision and stop holding up all these trades..

As time passes, all teams involved are less and less interested in signing him.
He is pissing Knicks fans off (and I am sure Phil too), Bulls don't want to give up half of their team to get him, Houston and Dallas have already moved on...
He may not even have to make a decision in the end, just go with whatever team is still interested in him.
Knicks aren't doing a sign and trade because without it bulls can't get Melo without it and therefore bulls are out of Melo hunt, regardless of this BS threat to gut there team.
Not sure where you guys are hearing Phil open to sign and trade, it's absolutely the opposite.

This is SO far from the truth. Any of the 5 teams interested would pull out the red carpet and meet again if he called them and said lets talk.
Melo is just waiting for Bosh to sign with the rockets so he can replace him in the big 3. Don't believe this smokescreen from SAS.

Don't really want Melo tbh.. Bulls are a team that's been built on drafts and not bought but I'd love to get lance for about 10mil a year. Mirotic, mcdermott and drose gives us so much more offense than last year. We don't have to rely on DJ to be our first option anymore

Relax there tough guy, just stating my opinion. I have faith in our rookies, we have to give up a lot of assets just to land Melo that can hurt us in the long run.
