I'd take KG. Best defensive PF ever, more length, better rim-protector, better shooter, rebounder and passer. Better playoff performer (raise his game when it counts) and slightly better team mate. Also Duncan would have no chance on the perimeter v 5 KG's.
Duncan is a slightly better scorer but KG's defense shuts him down. Duncan has never been the best interior presence on his team (Robinson, Horry, Thiago) so having 5 of him means nothing.
I'd pick Garnet because of the better shot. 5 Duncans would just have 5 Garnets packing the paint.

"I remember one time Kevin Garnett was mushing him, and shoving him in the face; and Tim Duncan didn't do anything, he didn't react. He just kicked Kevin Garnett's a--, and won the damn championship. You know what I'm sayin'? That's gangsta. Everybody can show emotion, dunk on somebody, scream and be real cocky; but Tim Duncan is a ... he's a pimp."

Duncan easily. Garnett is all bark no bite.

KG because KG's skills are more diverse, which is important in making a more balanced team.

Prime KG definitely. Prime Kg was better at pretty much everything other than rim protection, and that doesn't really matter in this scenario. Also, KG has literally coached teams on the defensive side of the ball. Not sure Duncan can do that.

Even two Duncans would diminish their combined impact due to redundancy, what 5 Duncans going to do? Even bringing ball up the court would be a challenge. TDs strength of scoring in the paint would be tricky against packed paint with KGs.
5 Garnetts fit each other better due to much greater versatility, he literally played all positions in NBA from PG to Center at a high level. If one past-prime KG with solid support made Celtics as one of the best defensive teams ever, what would happen with 5 KGs?

There's so much hyperbole in this post that I almost threw up. :facepalm
Anyway, the answer is KG.

He was, marginally in some aspects, but yeah. I still have prime Duncan as the better of the two, because, under normal circumstances, rim protection is just about the most important aspect of the game for big men.

Everything you said is dead wrong. He has more length? Better rim protector, rebounder, shooter, passer, playoff performer, and teammate? What, are you f*cking retarded?

Even T_L_P admits this and he is a Duncan stan. Face it, KG would win and is better historically.

5 KGs would be near the top of my list if I had to choose 5 of any player. Definitely behind Magic. After that, not many others.
