View Full Version : Don't f*ck this up Melo

LeBron is now on a team that isn't a shoe-in for the Finals. The Cavs are filled with young and developing (albeit very talented) players that have yet to experience the playoffs, let alone the ECF, Finals, etc.

If Melo ever wanted a chance to legitimately compete for a championship as the lead dog, the time is NOW.

There should only be two options: the Bulls and the Heat if Bosh decides to stick around.

If he resigns with NY, he'll be kissing that opportunity goodbye, as he'll be rebuilding while LeBron's young teammates are already improving and taking it to another level.

Don't f*ck this up Melo. If you want to be a champion, this is probably the best chance you'll ever get.

If Melo signs with Miami and he and Wade knock Bran's Cavs out in ECF..

They were saying he's waiting for Lebron's decision. I'm guessing the following:

If Lebron resigned with Miami with Bosh leaving he would've tried to sign with Miami for the 4-year max to join Lebron.

If Lebron signed a 1-year deal like what was most rumored if Lebron returned to Miami regardless of Bosh leaving or not, he would've stayed with New York for the max hoping they can sign Lebron next year.

In both of the above cases, he wouldn't have to make as much of a financial sacrifice if any and he would've gotten to play with Lebron and contend for titles whether that started this season or next season and Chicago would've been out the picture.

Now he's in a predicament. He really needs to choose between Chicago and New York meaning money and winning since playing with Lebron is pretty much never going to happen.

Go to the Bulls. I think he's at the point of his NBA career where winning an NBA title is more important than getting money.

Seriously. If Melo doesn't go to Chicago, the Eastern conference is ****ed.

The Bulls even without Melo are going to be great..but that Cleveland team is gonna be too much for them. The Wizards, Raptors, Hornets, Pacers, etc can all be good, even great teams down the road. But none of them as presently constructed are going to beat Cleveland in a 7 game series. It's all up to Melo now to give the East at least some semblance of competition at the top.

Knicks have a better future than the bulls. Owner willing to pay and Phil running the show beats a cheap team that gives players away to save money and a guy taking a huge chunk of that limited funds that you prob never see the best of again.

Calderon/shumpert
JR Smith
Carmelo
_______
Bargnani/dalembert

Put the right guy in the blank spot and 2-3 others and that team destroys the Bulls.

Not if he is leaving 60 million on the table.

But the Heat are the most stacked team of all time? How are we not winning the next 2 titles?
