On that Kobe Bryant diet. :applause:
hmmmm.....why would Riley do that?
why not? keep a star around, while keeping wade happy. why would wade take paycuts and shit for a lame version of the heat?
must be weird for wade to step in to the gym without so many of the guys. no Lebron, Bosh, allen and many many more.

Worse than Kobe's contract. This bum cost the heat a 4 peat.

Doesn't Cleveland actually get Miami's first round pick next season?

I think it would be real cool if they gave UD a 2 year MAX contract just to show they are really are about loyalty and family.

No, it's top 10 protected.

I have no problem with it. Its like Kobe getting his max deal and Kobe is 3 years older. He only opted out to keep LeBron.
The Heat have class. I wouldn't be suprised if Haslem is rewarded as well.

If Melo passes on the Bulls, you have to try and shake down Chicago for a ton of assets in exchange for a Wade S+T. Riley would definitely have the leverage in that situation.
Wade isn't going to do shit for Miami at this point without major help...Chicago could be a good fit.

The Heat have to use at least $57M like every other team, so they will have to start throwing around some money, and there aren't that many top free agents they can get.
Might be better to just give Wade and Harlem big short term contracts for loyalty, and then look to rebuild in a few years.

Wade and Haslem are still starters (6th men) and will be paid for their loyalty with years.

Looks like wade ended up getting that kobe deal he wanted
Is there a secret clause in the league that washed up SG's automatically get the max?

Classy move actually, I like it. Go get your money, and retire a Heat.

So that means they're getting it. We're still gonna make the playoffs, so we won't get a top 10 pick.

UD should get a nice "thank you" contract. Dude has taken multiple paycuts. This is the time to reward him.

I hope Wade can return to form next season. circa 2009-2010 isn't realistic, but if he keeps up his diet, sheds the extra weight and is motivated to train, ie. the 2008 off-season, a mix between 2011 and 2012 IS plausible.

Setting aside the fact that Wade having a good Finals wouldn't have won the Heat an extra game (they lost by an average of 15+ per game), where are you coming up with FOUR-peat?
Blaming Wade for future championships not won or somehow trying to pin 2011 on him?
As for 2014, 2011 Finals Wade could've flipped the series with 2014 Finals LeBron, but 2011 Finals Wade would have turned 2014 Finals LeBron into 2011 Finals LeBron. So the Heat still lose.
And so do you.
And until I see a link, all these Wade/ Bosh reports are bullshit.

I mean, it is a respectful move by both Wade and Riley. I can understand that. Maybe he still has some gas left to be great again. He did have to take a backseat to LeBron. You never know how he will do. I am honestly liking this. No more multiple stars on a team. Let LeBron, Wade, Melo, George and maybe Rose (hopefully) lead their teams.
So Heat basically destroys any chance of them being relevant as long as Wade's contract lasts :facepalm
