They both benefited from playing with each other. The greatest duo in NBA history at their peak (2001/2002) You can also say the same thing about Shaq. It wasn't until a kid out of high school named Kobe Bryant developed and came into his own and became one of the leagues premier players that Shaq finally won those elusive rings despite playing with Penny Hardaway+ deep Orlando team and an All-Star backcourt with Eddie Jones/Nick Van Exel.
