In 2-3 years, as age starts to show on James, I'm just curious what you guys think. Will he be gracious in letting the likes of Wiggins and Kyrie run more of the show?

Will he be willing to take a secondary role ala DWade did the last few years if it comes to that?

Or will it be an issue for him?

Discuss.

He best do what the hell he's told when the hell he is told to do it or he can go to another team and be labeled a ring chaser the rest of his life. No more of this Mike Brown push over shit.

That's another good point. Will the Cavs organization bend to James all the time like they did the first time around?

Sadly yes. It's Cleveland. Desperate as hell on their knees, mouths wide open. He hasn't even proven himself in Cleveland yet and season tickets sold out in 8 hours. What a joke.

What does he need to prove? Are you suggesting LeBron James going back to the Cavs at age 29 is not a cause for selling out tickets? I mean, are you legitimately retarded?

carrying trash to two consecutive 60+ win seasons is a little more than proving himself...
this year the Cavs will win exactly 60 games, next year they'll win 69 due to a more experienced & deep playoff hardened Wiggins and Kyrie.. it's simply the Lebron effect...

LeBron is 29. He likely will start to decline after next season but he will remain the best player in the league for 2-3 years and a top 5 player for a few more seasons after that. Wiggins will be improving during this period but he may not surpass LeBron until LeBron is in his mid-30's. You are projecting Wiggins as a top 3-5 player in 2-3 years by suggesting he will surpass LeBron. That is unlikely since few players wind up that good and Wiggins could be a disappointment. The most likely scenario is LeBron is the clear best player for several years, then there is a 1a/1b situation and then Wiggins surpasses LeBron. This would be like KAJ and Magic.

What people don't realize about the "sidekick" talk is it has limited impact on what a player does. Pippen's stats in 1994 and 1995 and his stats when healthy in 1996 and 1997 were the same irrespective of Jordan (it was Rodman who deflated his rebounding but he was a 21-22 ppg scorer the whole time when healthy).

Bran will be 30 this december so I project Wiggins will overtake bran as the best player and leader of the cavs in their fourth season together.

I honestly doubt he's really from Cleveland and Cavs fan at all. I understand being a Cavs fan and hate Lebron but his comments are really stupid and over the top.

There is no problem in this, they both are betas and will want to be sidekicks anyways, wiggins will move after rookie contract somewhere else cause true beta of the team Bron is too much beta to be an alpha, wiggins will be forced to be alpha, but he clearly wants to be beta so he will bolt to be someones sidekick.

Remember Jordans Run of his second 3 peat was 32-35 years old and He was still best player in the league.. Lebron if HE remains Healthy will adjust his game as he gets to that age if Wiggins is Really special He will become more of Facilitator Rebounder, Post scorer. I see Lebron being at least a top 3 player over the next 5 years.

Bran isn't skilled enough to do that though. Bran won't be that good when his athleticism declines. He will be a better version of 2nd three peat Pippen. Wiggins will play the role of Jordan.

Agreed. LeBron's won't have to cede "control" of the team until he is well into his 30's like KAJ didn't until 1987. As noted earlier, this "sidekick" and "top dog" talk has little impact on what players actually do on the court so how good Wiggins is relative to LeBron won't impact what 34 year old LeBron is doing much.

Pippen was an elite player during that period. You are saying LeBron will be even better.

I'm not sure if Wiggins will ever be an elite scorer on offense.

In 3-4 years, Lebron + Wiggins will look something like Magic + Pippen in my opinion (assuming that Wiggins maxes potential and turns into an elite player...like we are all assuming for the sake of this conversation anyway).

Yes. I think Wiggins will be a a combo of peak TMAC on offense and peak Pippen on D. Bran will be a slightly better version of 2nd three peat Pippen.(basically 2nd 3 peat Pippen clone with better passing).

Bron takes care of his body unlike so many past players. He'll be playing at a high level until he's almost 40.

LeBron can be a full time PG or PF by the time he is in his mid-30s. He will age fine. He doesn't use his athleticism now as much as he did his first 7 years in Cleveland and he's still the best. Plus his shooting has improved, passing is great, and his Bball IQ is great. He'll be fine.

What I want to know is where Kyrie fits in all of this?

Lebron was not the best player last year.

The EC playoffs found a way to hide the obvious.

Durant is better.

Wiggins will be playing in Toronto in 6-8 years.

LeBron will also be no. 1

A player like Lebron will. He's not that cocky alpha type player like Kobe and MJ, he prefers team concepts and will play within them. Lebron would make a great 3rd or 4th option Glue player.

I predict Lebron's going to average 23/8/8 next year. He's just not going to have much energy after he gets off the "supplements" he got in Miami. The last thing he wants to risk is getting caught using the wrong supplements and bringing shame upon his Cleveland team. I'm sure he's going to completely cycle off this post season. We're going to see a smaller Lebron with more hair.
