View Full Version : If he had to do it over, would Wade still want LeBron to the Heat in 2010?

The biggest loser in this whole deal has been Wade IMO. Yeah he has 2 more rings but he'll never get much credit for them. Also, his legacy as an individual player has been severely diminished the past 4 years. All that for LeBron to bail when things start to get hard? Now if they struggle, Bron will get even more credit for the past lol
Bosh, Wade and more depth would have probably resulted in a ring or two anyway with Wade getting at least a regular season MVP and Finals MVP.
Knowing what we know now, was this really worth it for Wade? :confusedshrug:

yes. took him out of mediocrity to make him relevant again. prolly would do over again what happened at the end though.

Hmmmm. Being absolutely irrelevant on a Heat team or winning back to back championships and 4 straight Finals. Very much a hard one, but I'm sticking with the former.
That shit about winning MVP and a ring with just Bosh and depth is pure speculation and likely nonsense.
Wade's legacy as an individual player took no hit just because of his performance as a 30+ year old. Come on now.

Bosh and Wade combo (with Bosh being fully utilized) and more depth would still have been the best in the East

Of course he would do it again. If LeBron stays in Cleveland Wade remains irrelevant. I like the guy, but he hasn't developed his game in years.

Wade was bounced out the first round in 2007, 2009, 2010 and missed the playoffs in 2008. How did he not benefit from LeBron's arrival?

wonder if lebron ever truly cared about wade as a friend, or just someone he had to befriend in order to bring him under his control and exploit him to get the 2 rings.
Wonder if he's still answering wade's phone calls or texts.

there wasnt a player available as FA who could have carried wade to 2011 finals along with bosh like lebron did. wade produced worse stats in 2011 ECF than lebron did in the 2011 finals.
wade should thank lebron and to a lesser extent bosh that he is still in the league.

This is bullshit. LeBron & Wade were basic equals that first year together, and lmao at Bosh "carrying" Wade. Wade did have a poor offensive showing in the ECF that year, but he did come up with huge plays in the 4th quarter in that series. The same cannot be said for LeBron in the Finals.

What, are you retarded? Wade was badly injured through 07-08, and had one of the worst supporting casts around in 09-10 (Miami was deliberately not competing purely to get at the 2010 free agent class during these years, and it worked). How are these the same to him being healthy and having Bosh, and another $15-20 mil of other pieces around those two as the core?
That team would have been a contender with or without Lebron in 2011. Impossible to predict exactly what would have happened, but there's no way they were gonna get bounced in the first round .

You answered your own question in your original post.
D-Wade has 2 more championship rings to add to his legacy. That's all that matters.
Not a lot to regret about back to back finals victories amongst 4 straight finals appearances.

People do realize just how awful the Heat were before Lebron and Bosh went there, right? :facepalm
