He was seen as one of the best shooters in the draft, behind Stauskas. He's gonna be highly-sought after, dude's a baller

Agreed. I can't believe he fell that far.

Yeah he was one of the last players I wanted the Nuggets to draft at 11. IMO his ceiling was a pretty average NBA player ala Foye, and wanted the Nuggets to take a risk. People had him mocked to us 11 alot so grabbing him at 19 is pretty great value.

He was really impressive today. Defensively he was after it and I loved how he was moving away from the ball. Handle was a little sloppy. Before the draft from what I had seen I didn't think he could create like that against NBA talent but today he was getting his shot off with ease. Screens, taking it the hoop, off the dribble etc.

Hopefully I was wrong about him. Today certainly made me feel stupid :oldlol:

His name is too run of the mill.

Sounds like a 70s character actor.

crooked cop #2: Gary Harris

He can shoot but in the half court he is not that impressive getting his own shot. And he is undersized but he plays really good D, I'll give him that.

I wanted the Hawks to pick him so badly.....

Instead we got a 23 year old guy with lung problems......

So at worst he's a good 3 & D guy?

Good 3 & D guys are worth their weight in gold these days.

Nah he is much more than that.

He can create his own shot nicely and has a good mid range game. Absolute steal at where he was drafted

I was being serious though, even if he's only a good 3 & D guy, (and I think he'll be more) then he's well worth his draft slot.

Same here. He easily was a top 10 talent (or at the very least lottery talent) even in this loaded draft. And if the OP hasn't ever heard of him before then he doesn't follow college basketball. Not that Harris was a college superstar either year he was at Michigan State, but you don't even have to have been a die-hard college basketball fan to have heard of Gary Harris. Michigan State was on national TV enough and in the NCAA tournament the last two years that, if you just caught one or two of their games, you would've likely heard Harris' name.

Used to be seen as a top 10 pick, but fell out in a loaded draft due to upside/size concerns (when you can potentially get a perennial all-star, you don't want to be stuck with OJ Mayo or Randy Foye).

Summer league means nothing, but I think he is too skilled not to find a role suited for him in the league.

well,

Michigan State players are known for their size AND athleticism.
Shannon Brown comes to mind.

he does appear to be undersized at the 2.
but then, what are the second units for?

since having him in an open court system all game, might take away his defensive impact.

I had this dude going #9 and honestly felt the consensus was #9 to #12. Glad he's doing work

Dude was fluid during the game, on both ends of the floor.

If his work ethic is near what he produced in the ever so vital Summer League, he'll be a nice, long term mainstay in Denver.

i watched a lot of big 10 ball moreso than any other conference and i saw Gary Harris seemingly flip the switch a couple times.

Dude is a straight up gamer. Very competitive and it shows in the way he plays.

How can you never heard about this guy? :facepalm
It's even more difficult to grasp, since you rep a bench guy from UCLA :lol

I have been saying for a long time this kid has Joe Dumars potential. At worst he is Foye with better D
