I think Webster might get more run behind Beal. They need to get Porter minutes this year or they admit they are giving up on their top 5 pick.

Then again, they may like Glen Rice, Jr. or Garrett Temple more at the 2, so then it would indeed screw Porter over.

I just want to see him get a chance to play, I think he will be a very good 3rd or 4th option on a team or a great guy to come off the bench. Liked him in college, hope he pans out in the NBA.

The potential is pretty small.

Next year, Gortat will be 31, Nene will be 32, and Pierce will be 37. That's probably going to be 3/5th's of the starting lineup. Wall, Beal, and Potter Jr are the only young guys on the team that you can label potential with. Everyone else they are bringing back are either veterans or player in the mid or late 20's who have already peaked out into role players.

They should be able to contend with Miami and Atlanta for that division title, but they aren't really going to make that much noise IMO, unless they make another big move and get a good player.

Love this move for the Wizards. Veteran presence in the locker room and Pierce doesn't have to carry a huge load for the team with a lot of options surrounding him.

As someone who's tried to follow Washington a bit since drafting Wall, that team is far and away from what they were a few years ago. A serious contender in the East now compared to housing a lot of the lowest IQ players who weren't being maximized to their full potential.

I'm disgusted how these last four years under Billy have been. He has been the shittiest GM. Any other GM would have made us a contender with the money Prokhorov has given out. How do you bring over an unnamed scrub from Europe but don't even match a $5.5mm per year for Pierce. I'm getting sick and tired of this shit. First not getting Dwight, then trading pick for Wallace - then giving him $40mm - then trading picks for Pierce and KG and now letting Pierce go for nothing.

Yep.

It's a real tough one, because I think he's a nice fit and depending on Wall/Beal's growth, you guys can make a deep run this year. But it's also a position that's covered.

I think you can realistically retain Seraphin, and maybe shop Webster around for a decent big I guess.

They didn't offer the QO to Booker so he is a UFA and will probably sign elsewhere. I haven't given up on Seraphin yet but he is all we have now behind Gortat/Nene.
