LeBron leaving should just be a slight bump in the road. 5 straight Finals should be in the bag, right?

You already made a thread about this. Bump your old one instead.

I agree with the point you are trying to make but you also have to acknowledge the fact that they had almost 0 players on the roster just a few days ago and even still probably will look nothing like the team they were last year.

But again, yes, I agree with you that LeBron carried a lot more than he was given credit for especially with the way Bosh chose to play and utilize/not utilize his talents and how many games Wade sat out and how often he was ineffective regardless.

If they weren't, that was only because Lebron is not an all-time great like most people thought. Playing one good quarter per game in the finals is not an all-time great type production.

This is where you're wrong. The Miami Heat actually got a lot better, because Lebron James, the ball hogging choker has been replaced by new Loul Deng, and now superstar Dwayne Wade and Chris bosh can flourish and get back to their 24 to 27 point averages.

Anything less than a title this year is a complete and utter failure on the part of the Miami Heat.

You're the one who said they were going to steamroll every team on the way to a 3 peat.

Go ahead, bookmark it. Spurs caught all the breaks last season and they still some how lost. Hot 3pt shooting, refs keeping Miami off the FT line, Duncan going apeshit in games 6 and 7, etc. Still lost. Those same breaks won't be their this time. And healthy Wade is a death sentence for them as far I am concerned.

Absolutely no doubt in my mind the Spurs can't win this series.

3Peat.

Be honest Silkk, how shook were you when the Spurs handed the Heat the biggest ass whooping in Finals history?

oh the horror

LeBron definitely had a better chance winning it next year with Miami than he will with Cleveland.

In 2011 Lebron was certainly shit, but not this year.

They were one of the historically stacked teams, relative to era.

Their flaw was their weak minds and hearts. They didn't want to prove themselves against the best. They wanted to stack up as much talent as possible to accumulate as many rings as possible as easily as possible.

They wanted it easy. And it largely was for them. But even as stacked as they were, their competitive spirit was so weak they still only managed 2 rings (with a lot of extremely shady reffing in their favor).

Think about it: the 94' Bulls replaced MJ with a scrub who was out the NBA the previous two years and finished with 2 games of the #1 seed and took the East champ to 7 games, and were one phantom foul from taking a 3-2 lead to Chicago. That is the only time a team lost a GOAT-caliber player and remained a contender so it is the gold standard. The 15' Heat replaced LeBron with a two-time all-star. The Heat have two superstars, not one like the Bulls did. The Heat also were the most stacked team of all-time while the Bulls were not even stacked according to experts here. Given all these facts, anything less then contending for the #1 seed and in the playoffs should be deemed a massive failure on Miami's part.

They were one of the historically stacked teams, relative to era.

How? The Rockets, Celtics, Lakers, Clippers, and Thunder were all comparable at points in the 2011-2014 period. They were stacked but not historically stacked. If they were all-time stacked they would tower over those teams in terms of ability. They were the #2 seed three times in four years and had two 7 game ECF's and a 7 game Finals. It is not as if they were steamrolling through the league.

I think their flaw (this past season in the finals) was their pace, defense, quality low post scoring, and rebounding. And having a coach who did a poor job making adjustments, while having their best big (Bosh) outside shooting jumpers.

Being such a poor rebounding team, I'm surprised that they even made 4 straight finals, won 2 titles and had a season where they won 27 games in row.

If Wade was 3 years younger, I'd agree ... they'd probably cruise to the Finals and maybe even win.

But Bran stole Wade's remaining good years and then kicked him to the curb :lol
