Baylor got a conciliatory ring. He retired a few months in the season. His team won the ring at the end. They gave him one lol.

Tremendous talent on this list. Center is the only position that's lacking a bit.

I'm fairly certain that Artis Gilmore, Dan Issel, Hubie Brown and the rest of the '75 Colonels all received championship rings.

Baylor lost three game seven's in the Finals...one in OT, and the other two by margins of 2 and 2 points.

Elgin Baylor DOES have a ring. But he won it as an inactive player (retired 9 games into 1972 season, they gave him a 1972 championship team ring). However if retiring before the title was actually secured still meets OP's criteria due to technicality or whatever, than he should def still be at or near the top of anyone's list on here.

Baylor is one of the best all around players there ever was, ring or no ring

The lakers gave him that. Direct your "pathetic" comments towards them if it bothers you that much.

He went to a total of eight Finals, including his rookie season. How many rookies lead there teams to the NBA Finals? The ones I can think of are Russell and Magic. But both had the veteran presence of Bob Cousy and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Baylor
K. Malone
Barkley
Stockton
Nash
Ewing
T Mac
Hill
Durant
Paul
Iverson
Miller
Webber

Those names are not in any order.

Nash

barkley
malone
Ewing

Payton
RayRay
Pippen
KG

The "sidekick" team. The first team has a problem with two PF's and no SF. The second team also has four great defenders, including arguably the two best perimeter defenders ever and arguably the GOAT defensive PF. That more than offsets the first team having slightly more scoring ability.

Oh you're differentiating between that now :lol

So the Lakers gave him a ring, for what its worth... yet he's still without titles?

nice ring doe!

Trying to hard now. I've never changed my tune or been vague about this. The truth has always been that Baylor won a ring with the 1972 team however he retired before the team won the championship. So yes, he won a ring, but no he did not win a championship. Keep hunting for an inconsistency there.

Two things.

One, he "technically" retired...but Sharman had the backing of Laker ownership to cut him if need be. Sharman considered the 37 year old Baylor the "weak link" on his '72 starting five.

Two, the Lakers IMMEDIATELY went on their 33 game winning streak the game after he "retired."

In no real particular order

Karl Malone
John Stockton
Charles Barkley
Allen Iverson
Jason Kidd
Patrick Ewing
Dikembe Mutombo
Dominique Wilkins
Reggie Miller
George "Iceman" Gervin

Baylor gets a * because he technically has a ring.
