Honestly, I would even go as far as trading Lebron for him

Thoughts?

Key word on probably. You dont trade the best player in the nba for an untested second year player.

I would consider trading Giannis for him.

I'd strongly consider Lillard or Aldridge. My only hesitancy is Davis' durability. He has missed a decent amount of games in his first 2 years. Keep in mind, I'm a Blazer fan. I fear injuries more than anything.

This is true. Lebron is still too young to trade for AD, Bran got at least 3-4 great years in him, AD MIGHT become great.

He's already a top 10 player, he's got tons of upside, and he's still very young.

i'd trade for him for anybody outside the top 5, possibly top 3 due to age and potential. i'd trade for him for any big in the game. i'd go so far as to trade for him for anybody outside lebron/durant.

i think he's the best PF since duncan and i've backed him since day one even though i said to pump the brakes when he was getting such high praise. i argued to no end with ppl that said he underachieved at kentucky while explaining how he wasn't always asked to do much and was still growing. yet, defensively, was a monster regardless.

still, he got to the next level with all the questions, hype, criticism, etc...worked and improved.

reportedly, he's at 240 lbs now and he started last season at 220, so the whole gain 15 lbs of muscle seems to be working out for him. he's also working on his jumper off the dribble and corner 3.

ppl scoffed at a 20/10 season last year and he did it. this season, he'll do 22/10 this year while leading the league in blocks again. oh and he's 21. his next evolutionary step is to just get more comfortable in the post and not shy away from first contact. with added muscle, this is the season for him to show some signs going forward. his footwork will need to be on par but if he gets going in the post, it's game over.

dude is a monster and no one should be shocked if he wins an MVP/DPOY or two very soon.

Who would you take first in a draft?

MellowYellow

numbers are almost identical to 2nd year Zo, that said I think we should temper our expectations of him until after next year. 3rd year is usually when players start reaching their prime.

well, i fvcked that up. i should have said 'for him'. too many folks were listing off who they would trade him for and for me, it was easier to say who i wouldn't trade for him, lol

Who would you take first in a draft?

Out of college? Davis of course. Right now to start a franchise? Davis (although it's close because Westbrook is a more proven star, but Davis is only 21). If I'm the Thunder, Durant and Westbrook aren't on the trading block for anyone, unless they can't get along. So I wouldn't trade Westbrook for Davis, given the success he's had with Durant.

Thunder would ship Westbrook to NO so fast that he'd fly right out of his skinny jeans.

Yes, you can't win a ship without a prolific wing player.

The Spurs JUST won a ship with their best wing player averaging 13ppg in the regular season...

Its a defensive game my friend, Noah and Davis would lock down the paint. Get someone like JR Smith or Nick Young aka Swaggy P and give him the green light and all of a sudden they're dropping 30 PPG.

So? He averaged 18ppg in that series

If you're ready to deem Leonard a superstar because of a 5 game stretch where he shot 58% from 3 then I think you ought to look up 'sample size'.

And he shut down lebron on the other end...he was clearly fmvp. No question about it. He had the most difficult role on defense and still put up nice offensive #'s.

Stay salty.

LeBron averaged 28/8/4 on 56% shooting in the finals. He didn't get 'shut down' by anybody.

Yeah, Kawai won FMVP, he played great and he deserved it, but nothing he did in the finals and nothing he did in the regular season makes him a 'superstar' wing. That's just facts, not me being salty. :confusedshrug:

Davis = superstar
Kawai = good player

Kawhi Leonard 1 FMVP

Durant, Paul George, Melo

Clearly Kawhi is better than them. :rolleyes:
