Best contract in the NBA...Dude is making in 3 years what Kobe is making in one...and he's a better player than Kobe right now..

Does this leave us any wiggle room with the cap?

I wonder if he took a little bit less because there is still a move upcoming. I know Dirk was real happy about Parsons because they are buddies, but that happy?

07-15-2014, 03:51 PM
Does this mean there's another deal in place? Or was this pre-agreed the max offer to Parsons?

Obligatory depth chart
C - Chandler
F - Dirk / Wright
F - Parsons / Jefferson (RJ be like :dancin )
G - Ellis
G - Felton / Harris

Could use a little more here and there

**** yeah!!! He's the man.

LOL @ the Lakers. :facepalm :facepalm

Makes a little more sense with the Rockets because they would be the easy favorite w/ Dirk.

Neither should have even bothered.

side note: Kobe is making 25 mill in 15-16....Dirk is making 25 mill for the next 3 whole years. Dirk is the superior player at this point lol

You left out Crowder and Smith.

Both guys will see 15 or so minutes a game likely.

Yes, we absolutely should use our 2.7 exception on another guard. Our gaurds are absurdly weak right now with no depth whatsoever.

Forgot about Smith but not sure about Crowder's playing time. Richard Jefferson is a more accomplished shooter than Crowder right now. Unfortunately, he's never been much of a ballhandler so he can't really swing at the 2. Unless Parson will be playing some 4 (he's not much of a rebounder tho)

How about you take off OJ Mayo from the Bucks? :D

Crowder will still get burn...it will just depend on circumstances.

I wonder if Dirk taking a smaller deal is so they can make room for a PG via trade?

Come on Cubes.

NBA players are suckers. Like owners really give a shit about you and your family. It's all a buisness and your playing to their hand. As a player you need to maximize your earning potential in the tail end of your career. Godbe knows this.

Maybe your franchise can't appreciate a relationship like Cuban/Dirk have had.

I think they would actually have a chance to be pretty good friends too considering Dirk is similar to Kobe w/his work ethic.

We better do something with that extra room now.

If we could add Jameer or Mo at the exception and then land a guy like Boozer in the amnesty bid...great.

I wonder if we are planning something big though. We could salary dump Felton/Wright/Crowder and a pick together and we'd have a little over 11 million in cap I think.

Not sure if we'd still have the mini mid level at that point.

Unless Mo is talking the minimum, I don't see the point of getting another PG

Actually not true, a huge chunk of it is not getting Felton to see the light of day. I think Cuban's learned his lesson with Odom and the impact on team morale.

Getting Mo cheap to play the Calderon role to stretch the D and allow the Ellis/Dirk P&R to buttrape the WC is ideal.

I do wish it was someone who could stay in front of his man on defense.

We have to get another guard.

Right now we have Harris/Felton/Ellis

We absolutely need a another combo guard. Not getting one would be an epic mistake.

With a projected cap of 66 million next year the Mavs are looking at 25 million in capspace to upgrade PG and C, 35 million without Ellis

Will never happen :(

I know Suns are keeping him...but man... talk about a perfect compliment to Ellis. Defensive stud
