Both are extremely raw, both are extremely athletic. Both have no idea how to play basketball.

Yet one goes number 1 and the other goes 13?

Can someone explain this to me please?

One is better than the other in every measurable, both physical and basketball-related. The other is closer in the physical aspects.

One was runner player of the year in his conference. The other couldn't start for his team.

Lavine is white like Blake Griffin is white.

Sure. Zach Lavine got DRAFTED by the Timberwolves, and Wiggins is going to be TRADED to the Timberwolves.

I think they will both have a similar reaction to Minnesota though

Wiggins has more potential, as he's taller, more impressive as an overall athlete, better defensively, more well-rounded... AND he's generally further along in his development process, as he had a much more relevant freshman season. As of right now, there's a real difference between them as prospects, which is why Wiggins was taken first and LaVine 13th.

The main resemblance between the two is that they will have a lot of highly dedicated fans from an early stage in their careers.

one has been overhyped by the media, the other is the dark horse for ROTY

Wiggins may of had a poor final game for Kansas, but he didn't average 4 points and shoot 20% in the NCAA tournament

I think if Wiggins gets traded from the Cavs, he can be more than a dark horse for ROY. I think he can really win it.

Lavine is the better athlete and more explosive leaper. If Lavine was 6'8, he'd be the far better prospect

Levine wasn't one of the best 7 players on UCLA last year. He probably isn't one of the best 10,000 basketball players in the world right now. He has physical gifts that could allow him to be a great player but he hasn't shown that on any stage at any time.
