Wanted to create a thread to talk about the NHL, and seeing as this offseason has more or less hit a dead period with the development camps having just wrapped up, I figured I would go ahead and make this thread about the upcoming season. How has your team's offseason gone?

It's been eh for the Caps. New coach was needed so there's that but we lost Grabovski, picked up Niskanen which was good but gave Orpik a retarded deal.

I have two teams
L.a Kings- We pretty much kept everyone but mitchell but got a good deal to keep greene and Gaborik and we will have enough money now to resign tofoli to a decent size contract next year. I feel like were not done yet I doubt Martin jones our back up goaltender will stay he is a starting caliber goalie and someone will throw money at him so we need to trade for a decent back up. Maybe trade jones for Eddie lack or Lethonen. Overall were looking like repeat champs.
NYI- We finally got a solid goalie in Halak. Still mad we lost moulson for nothing. A lot depends on how tavares comes back from injury. We didn't do enough to contend but with how weak the east is and if halak can keep them in the game than we have a chance for 7 - 8th seed

Not great. Staz left for a division rival. Dallas picked up Spezza. Basically our entire division got better and it was stacked before that.
O'Moneybags won't re-up and is going to arbitration and after his last contract and signing the offersheet probably a really bad sign. PAP for Briere was a pretty bad trade, could pay off in the playoffs tho. Signing Iginla was good, hopefully he atleast has one more season of 20-25+ goals left, had 30 last year. Picked up some help on defense but nothing spectacular.
Coulda been much better.
