They did retire the jersey of someone who never even played for the team so his chances are looking good, right? :confusedshrug:

i would say the chances are pretty decent, but i would not bet on it.
Definitely. 2 rings in 4 Finals appearances, 2 MVPs, 2 F-MVPs.
Would like to see his Heat stats compared to other Heat players, where he ranks in points, rebounds, etc.

In 4 years has a Heat he had 7919 points 2225 rebounds 489 steals and shot 54.3% Only Wade 17481 Points Mourning 9459 Points and Glen rice 9248 had more points.

Wow! I'm pretty sure all of those are in Top 10. Points, probably top 3?
Also, his 61 points in a single game is definitely a Heat record.
He probably owns a shit load of their playoff stats.

They should retire it 100%...we still get debates about whether or not Orlando should retire Shaq's and he didn't do half of what LBJ did for the heat..
4th in points, not bad for only playing there 4 years.
I didn't realized Rice had that many points, considering he went to Charlotte midway his prime.

Better question, do you think that Bosh will have his number retired by the Heat?

With this contract, he probably will. 9 years with the Heat, being a significant piece in 4 finals and 2 championship teams, while being just about a perennial all-star. If he had left to Houston, absolutely not..but now that he's gonna be there for 9 years, he probably will.

Most likely. Looks like he will be a Heat for life. As long as he has some success in the duration of his contract, I think he would be retired.

This is the franchise that retired the number of a player who never played for them.

Bank on it. They definitely will. It is worth it for them when they do their sell to prospects about greatness and legacy.

Rice played in Miami for 6 seasons, his longest stay of his career.
