Funny Dirk won in 2011. I dont think ive ever heard anyone say hes the best player in the NBA...in person. Its something of a player of the year thing though. Barkley beat out Jordan one year. Nash, Wade, and Lebron won it 5-6-7 when I suspect many would say Kobe was the best.

It pretty closely mirrors MVP. At a glance either the actual MVP or finals MVP wins it every year except 2007 when Lebron was neither.

It's not like Durant was as bad as you and others seem to think (or bad in general, honestly, he just had some bad games) and he clearly had a better regular season than LeBron.
