Now I know to never take the ESPY's seriously. ESPN just trying to create some controversy because they don't have any news to report on. :sleeping

Kinda like the Oscars. You win for the previous year. Or at least at times. Depends on the schedule.

Funny Dirk won in 2011. I dont think ive ever heard anyone say hes the best player in the NBA...in person. Its something of a player of the year thing though. Barkley beat out Jordan one year. Nash, Wade, and Lebron won it 5-6-7 when I suspect many would say Kobe was the best.

It pretty closely mirrors MVP. At a glance either the actual MVP or finals MVP wins it every year except 2007 when Lebron was neither.

It's an ESPY, calm down people. Stop getting so upset over a trivial award :oldlol: it's all in good fun.

When you take into account playoffs, it's rather embarrassing that he won the award.

Damn, if he only won X-Mas MVP, he could have set a new record for SportsCenter to give him.

When you take into account playoffs, it's rather embarrassing that he won the award.

29.6, 8.9, 3.9, 1.0 steals, 1.3 blocks. 46%, 34%, 81%. Won two games off the Spurs and very, very close to a third to force a game 7. They were easily better than the Heat. Ibaka was injured.

Soooooooooooooooo embarrassing.

:facepalm

No, it's not. Mostly because it's a meaningless award that fans vote for. It's not like Durant was as bad as you and others seem to think (or bad in general, honestly, he just had some bad games) and he clearly had a better regular season than LeBron. This is just you overreacting and posting some mildly over the top comment, like always, and thinking you're smarter than everyone in the room...again.

Embarrassing? Who gives a shit? It's the f***ing ESPYs.
