Kevin Durant appeared to have surpassed LeBron James during a dominant regular season and he was very deserving of his first MVP award.

However the postseason exposed a serious flaw in his game when small players were able to successfully defend him, which prevented him from his dribble drive penetration and his lack of strength in the post was exposed by his inability to exploit what should have been obvious mismatches in the post. KD is one of my favorite players but he cannot pass LeBron James until he fixes this large weakness in his game.

KD's defense needs to continue to improve as well.
