[QUOTE]Commissioner,

It would be a travesty to allow the Lakers to acquire Chris Paul in the apparent trade being discussed.

This trade should go to a vote of the 29 owners of the Hornets.

Over the next three seasons this deal would save the Lakers approximately $20 million in salaries and approximately $21 million in luxury taxes. That $21 million goes to non-taxpaying teams and to fund revenue sharing.

I cannot remember ever seeing a trade where a team got by far the best player in the trade and saved over $40 million in the process. And it doesn

The Pau Gasol trade was a fair trade, just because all the butthurt coaches and owners didn't like it doesnt mean it wasn't fair. Memphis got exactly what they wanted and are currently reaping the reward-Kwame's expiring contract became ZACH RANDOLPH and Marc Gasol is one of the best centers in the game.

For the CP3 trade, Lakers offered New Orleans A BETTER DEAL then the deal that was made. Eric Gordon? XD Stern is a dumbass.

As is Gilbert "wah wah wah Lakers have a better GM then my team I'm gonna moan to big daddy stern  "

The NBA kinda ruled the team at that point so Dan Gilbert was part of the decision.

Also, Dan loves writing them letters for sure.

The proposed trade would have sent Paul to the Lakers, Pau Gasol to the Rockets and furnished New Orleans with three top-flight NBA players in Kevin Martin, Luis Scola and Lamar Odom as well as playoff-tested guard Goran Dragic and a 2012 first-round pick that Houston had acquired from the Knicks.

Goran Dragic > Eric Gordon

So really Pelicans would have been better off if they did the Lakers trade, right? Everyone knows that now, correct?
Eric Gordon has been a total disaster and cap killer, Kaman is gone for nothing, Aminu sucks and is now a free agent, and Austin Rivers is LOL

Meanwhile,

Goran Dragic > Chris Paul

So the trade never should have been blocked for "basketball reasons" if you look at this way.

It was BS

They had no right to block the trade and all Atern had to say was basketball reasons. Screw Stern Gilbert and the rest of you!

You're clearly mentally retarded. It was a terrible trade for New Orleans. The Hornets GM should have lost his job on the spot

ZERO trades for All-Pro players are consumated without owner approval. The league's ownership of the team certainly put a wrinkle in it but no one in the world outside of Laker fans thought that was a reasonable trade. Pau's 20M/ contract, a guy that was amnestied a few days later, etc. Just not a reasonable package for CP3.

CP3 can't win with a stacked Clippers team, and Laker fans think they would have more chips? Please.
