Passed him where? On the street?

He is a better player, more impactful, better shooter, better playmaker, better defender.

Jordan benefited from playing in an expansion era with no D. LeBron is dominating in the toughest era ever.

All the Jordan comparisons stopped when LeBron first went up against a real team (07 Spurs) and he got curb stomped.

Duh of course LeBron is better than Jordan, the argument ended after he beat the Mavs in 2011.

Remember when Jordan was outscored by Danny Ainge, Clyde Drexler, Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant in the 1992 NBA Finals when Portland beat Chicago? That's when we knew LeBron was better. Wake up.

Bron had subpar performances by superstar standards. He is 2/5 and should be 1/5.

Jordan faced stiffer competition. He dominated on the biggest stage.

The only thing Lebron was dominating last year was the east and kleenex.

think about it like this, what does jordan do better than lebron? Lebron is a better rebounder, playmaker, 3pt shooter, more efficient, etc. As an overall player he is better than mgay. Mgay is only a better scorer and thats factoring in the type of competition he had, which were mostly fast breaks and no defense (similar to current western conference). One can argue that lebron got beat by the spurs. While there was some ticky tacky officiating, spurs are no doubt one of the best teams in nba history. Put anyone in lebrons place, and they lose.

When we compare them we also need to understand how we view them based on their team. Jordan had the greatest coach ever and HOFs. Who did lebron have? Broken down dwade, top 40 player in chris bosh, and the worst championship coach in history. So why am i saying this? Because we need to note the differences between them and how much harder it was for lebron.

Overall, i give mgay the slight edge due to the 6 rings. In terms of domination and as a player, lebron is twice as good as michael was. In terms of winning and using the system to their advantage michael was better.

Where are the pictures of those players screwing up 3 straight possessions before the shots?

Nobody holds it against superstars when they have teammates that shows up in the clutch.

But Ray Allen was saving Lebron from himself. A total meltdown.

This is my general impression of MJ - when he stepped on the court, HE and his OPPONENT KNEW that he was gonna will his team to a win. Lebron, for all his skills doesn't give this impression.

Lest u forget, Lebron teamed up with 2 franchise players 4 years ago - where was ur outcry about his (unfair) help then?

James was just 3-of-12 after three quarters, the Heat trailing by 10 and frustration apparent among the players and panic setting in among the fans.

Nothing to worry about. Not with James playing like this.

He finished 11-of-26, even making a steal after his basket had given Miami a 101-100 edge in the OT.

The Heat, who haven't lost consecutive games since Jan. 8 and 10, had too much defense and way too much James for the Spurs in the final 17 minutes. They are trying to become the fourth team to win the final two games at home since the NBA went to the 2-3-2 format for the championship series in 1985.

James came in averaging 31.5 points in elimination games, highest in NBA history, according to a stat provided through the NBA by the Elias Sports Bureau.

He was simply unstoppable down the stretch of this one.

"He just made plays. I don't think there's any two ways to put it," Duncan said. "We were in the right position to close it out and he found a way to put his team over the top and we just didn't make enough plays to do that."

http://espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=400467338

Let's act as if LeBron did not late the 4th quarter comeback and lead them to the win in OT. Let's boil it all down to one shot...

The "Save Allen" stuff is amusing. People will care as much about that shot in 10 years as they do about the Horry shot or the Paxson three. They are cool, iconic moments--that have are non-factors when discussing the legacy of legends.

This is my general impression of MJ - when he stepped on the court, HE and his OPPONENT KNEW that he was gonna will his team to a win.

This is the problem with MJ. He has become a figure of myth, not just a basketball great. What is this "will" his team stuff? MJ's teams were non-factors for half his career.

but thats my point, they knew mgay would win because of his team. As a team the bulls were dominant and were the top of the league. Lebron never had that luxury. You can argue he joined them, but that still doesn't justify the skill difference between the two teams.
