Wanted to put the Nuggets higher, but just can't fit them in in the WC.

Could very well surprise me though and make it, wouldn't surprise me really actually

It's ok. I didn't mean because of Denver. We are, until proven otherwise, a 9-12 seed.

When you have fans from 6-7 teams all claiming they are top 4, well... The math doesn't quite work

and i think your really overrating them. chandler isnt the same player he was, they lost vince who was huge for them. and while parsons is pretty good, he aint an all-star.

Who's underrating them?

Surprised Memphis is getting slept on still. Not because they took OKC 7-games last year, but because they still managed to win 50 games despite Gasol missing 20 games. They're easily a 55ish win team last year if Gasol misses, say, 5-10 games instead of 20. Not sure I've seen enough from other WC teams that finished ahead of them for me to say the Grizzlies are clearly behind them. I'd probably go something like this:

The West is so tough to predict. The Spurs, Thunder, and Clippers are guaranteed, no doubt about it, locks to make the playoffs and win 55+ games in my opinion. However, I could see any of the following 8 teams grabbing one of the other five spots: Grizzlies, Rockets, Blazers, Warriors, Mavericks, Nuggets, Suns, Pelicans. If a team like the Pelicans can actually stay healthy (and that's a big if) then they're a damn good team. There are, barring any major health issues, 13 playoff caliber teams in the West and all 13 of those teams make the playoffs in the East in my opinion.

Rocketswin2013

There are only 3 teams that are a lock to make it. Clippers, Spurs, and Thunder. After that, it's anybody's seed from 4-8. Some really good teams won't make the playoffs.

They also added Tyson Chandler. Felton just needs to be able to hit the open 3 and defend. And I'm sure Devin Harris will start anyway. Rashard Lewis is an underrated signing too. They took the Spurs to seven games with a worse team. Chandler Parson is a great fit for them and will be a #2 star to Dirk.

this.

i think we got slightly better on both ends...well, if we land another guard like Mo or Jameer.

But honestly, I don't like what we've done the more I look at it. Think we could easily miss the playoffs.

Also could easily finish in the top 4, but Parsons better be ****ing amazing...

Even if he is...I still don't see how he'd be more valuable than Thomas, Ariza, and Ed Davis

Wow, not a single list with Suns as top 8.

They will resign Bledsoe, and the iThomas addition was a nice signing at a good price. Ennis and TJ Warren both have showed good things in the summer league, with TJ especially looking like he deserves minutes. Bledsoe was injured last season, otherwise they'd have made the playoffs. They look like a better team this season. Lastly, they are young, deep, they run and they do it very well. Hornacek has shown he has a talent for distributing minutes and keeping everyone fresh and high energy. They are a team that is going to win regular season games against better but older teams.

I will be surprised if they can't finish with a 6-8 seed.

People are practically saying Lakers this year is just as bad as the Lakers last year by conveniently putting them in exactly the same ranking as last season.

Everyone in the west got better so there are going to be improved teams that don't rise in the standings.

The Mavericks obviously move up because they grabbed a lot of good/serviceable players in free agency. They re-signed Dirk for $8 mill a year, got Chandler Parsons and signed productive players like Al-Farouq Aminu, Jameer Nelson, Richard Jefferson & Ivan Johnson. Also, they traded for Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler. You can say they won free agency this year. I have Pelicans making the playoffs this year if everyone like Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans, Eric Gordon and especially the young and upcoming star, Anthony Davis, stays healthy. They also upgraded their frontcourt by getting a great defensive player and rebounder in Omer Asik. If the Pelicans don't make in into the playoffs, I have the Grizzlies or Suns taking that 8th spot. Overall, the West is going to be real though this upcoming season.

because so much is unknown.

how good is Parsons? will he be able to shoulder the heavy burden we will need him to on both ends?

will dirk stay healthy and not decline much off of his great season last year?

will felton get his head on straight and lose his gut?

will Chandler stay healthy?

will Wright finally learn to defend?
