"imma go with 5 or 6" in response to how many titles he thought he would have won had he stayed with kobe ( end of video )

he also says he left LA because they could have given him 30 million and wanted him to take 20 million

says he had no problem with kobe off the court because it worked on the court.

but at the end of the day. shaq admittedly regrets his decision but it was "meant to be" as if its gods will

lol he always looks back and says great things about LA, but Kobe never really says shit about Shaq

Shaq is just regretful that Kobe has more rings than him

It's funny how Kobe is doing the same thing right now.

I mean it's ****ing LA. People want to go there, but not if an injured player is taking up the majority of the cap space. Kobe could have surpassed Jordan in rings if he decided to take a paycut... Maybe not surpass in MVPs, but pure ring count? He could be on his way to #6 right now if he chose less money.

actually kobe took a pay cut from 30mill per year down to 25 mill so that the lakers would have enough for another max contract player

they went out and got jeremy lin

so at the end of the day kobe took the pay cut for no reason because nobody wants to play in LA regardless of whether they can get max dollars

if the lakers cant even get one max player to sign. why would kobe shave another 15 million off his salary for more jeremy lins

its not like kobe has another guy on the team whos a future top 5-6 all time legend coming into his prime to sway him like shaq did in 2004

no way. They could have kept Dwight and had gotten Melo and it wouldn't have mattered. The West is too damn brutal and they didn't have any good coach.

Kobe made the right choice.

Kobe, Dwight, Melo could definitely contend. Say Mark Jackson is the coach... If Kobe is 75%, they could easily contend. Kobe is a Spur killer, and they could bea the Thunder w/ Dwight/Melo. Plus if they had a core like that, they would be getting great role players on the cheap much like the Cavs are

Kobe would have left the Lakers if Shaq stayed, so no.

lol no. Kobe and Melo don't fit well together and Mark Jackson is an average at best coach.

Westbrook and Parker (for the Spurs) would still murder LA's point guard, they'd still have no defensive answer for Durant, and Perkins would still limit the **** out of Dwight like he always does.

I'm just imagining a Mike Brown vs. Scottie Brooks WCF. Would be legendary

But nobody's going to stop Melo either... and if kobe is somewhat his former self, nobody can stop those hard ass shots. You're still missing the point that if they had a good core, they could attract players over there, which could give them a good short defender to bother Durant.

Melo and Kobe actually could work assuming Kobe accepts a reduced role. It would be kind of like watching Westbrook/Durant iso all day... and that took those guys to the finals.
