View Full Version : I think Lebron is too good of a basketball mind to try teaming up with Kevin Love

Coach K called Lebron the smartest player in Team USA and several other fellow players called him the smartest player in the league as well, and in Miami he always has been the team's de facto head coach in drawing plays during the timeouts and usually makes the right basketball plays. He knows the game and he knows how the game is played. With that said, I do not think he will try teaming up with Kevin Love if it means parting with team's talented young core players. Kevin Love is a good player but he is one of the worst man defenders in the league, cannot defend pick and rolls and is not a rim protector either. It remains to be seen whether the Love to Cleveland deal goes down, but the Lebron that I have seen for years is too knowledgeable in the game to believe that Love will put them over the top. Just my thoughts.

It's win now before it's too late.

Love means NOW.

Love is a poor defender who won't help them that much in the short term either - that's what I mean.

But the young core you mentioned may not be an all-star calibre core in 5 years time. Too big a gamble.

Getting Love means contending even with his flaws.

so smart players don't know how to draw the XsOs in order to get the most out of their teammates?

there's a pretty big difference between knowing the right answer, and the ability to hand out a well thought out exam.

but he's also an incredible rebounder with incredible range and is one of the best big man passers in the league soooo i think that makes up for it.

you guys wont have defense though.. the spurs will destroy you guys again and just outgun. Love also led the worst crunchtime offense in the league I believe last year.. the wolves lost more close games than anybody.. thats not good.

We got Lebron and Kyrie. Love ain't gotta worry bout crunch time.

Final Jeopardy time...

Who is afraid of crunch time that won't take the shot more often than not and who is it that will always take the shot and miss 75% of the time?

:)

I think you know the answer to both. One of them is not LeBron.

So alpha amirite!

Anyways..

"You miss 100% of the shots you dont take"

-the GOAT

I'd estimate Leeron has shot around 18% on GWs if you count how many times he played hot potato.. 25% isnt that bad by comparsion

You have it backwards. LeBron is too good of a basketball mind not to want to team up with Kevin Love, who is the perfect LeBron complement.
