Tough to call. I want to say Iverson, but did he really?

Every kid wanted to be like Iverson. Have yet to see anyone that wanted to be lebron or replicate his awkward moves.

People forget the massive influence (for better or for worse) AI had on the NBA in the early 2000s.

Hmm.. Iverson might have more impact on the style of play of younger guys in the league who grew up watching him play.

LeBron has more impact on how players are leveraging their power to play on the teams they want and/or get paid the money they want. He keeps leading on how to win (money, choice of team) as much as you can under the new CBA.

I guess it depends on the type of impact we're talking about.

Iverson and its not really that close. Iverson was a huge part of the hip hop community coming to the forefront of america.

That's because Iverson is an average size person. I haven't known a lot of LeBron sized kids.

no pun intended

The one who caused everyone to wear suits on the sidelines.

Dennis Rodman is actually the reason players nowadays in the NBA have tattoos at all he talks about it in his book "Bad As I Wanna Be". It's a great book.

But Iverson changed the entire way basketball was played they even had to invent rules to stop his crossover.

Same thing with Shaq who completely altered the way they built backboards and how to officiate a big man in the post.

LeBron is a big deal in the sense he's the ultimate poster child of why the NBA should allow kids straight from high school into the NBA if anything.

Iverson. He is the reason why the NBA came up with the whole dress code rule.

Culturally, AI. But historical basketball impact goes to Lebron.

Overall I'd say Lebron..everything from his high school hype to the decision to the absurd level of scrutiny he's faced and overcome over the past decade..historically it's on anther level compared to Iverson's career.

Iverson change the dress code on court and off the court

Iverson change the playing style of the point guards

Lebron change... humm... how to join the competition instead of beating it I guess...

basketball wise...what did lebron bring to the table? How to pass with 3 seconds on the shot clock?

Make your PF become a jump shooting 3 point specialist?

Get a bunch of ring chasers to join you so you wouldn't have to dominate the league.

scared of playing with competition?

teaching kids how to break promises without any repercussion?

If you fuse allen iverson and shaq together then divide by two you get lebron james:D

Both are/were extremely sensitive to what people and the media said about them.

Lebron has had more impact in the basketball community and is obviously 10 times the player AI was.
