I guess the Wizards are going to try to sell "coming home" ala LeBron when he becomes a free agent.

The Washington Wizards have hired David Adkins as a player development assistant, and this is notable because of his connection to MVP Kevin Durant, per Michael Lee of the Washington Post:

Adkins, 50, was an assistant on Brenda Frese's coaching staff with the University of Maryland women's basketball team for the past five years and helped the Terrapins reach the 2014 Final Four. Frese congratulated Adkins on the move on her Twitter account while adding that he had

Durant, Wall and Beal.

Interesting.

Let's see how much Potter improves. If so, then he would need to consider it.

Gortat is clearly a massive upgrade over Perkins on offense. Defensively, they are both solid.

And the owner would probably spend money if they got Durant.

And the East is weaker than the West, even with all of the young players added via the draft. Those players are 3 years away.

Durant vs. James in the East. Very interesting. Very interesting indeed.

To be real about it, why would he leave OKC ?

Better management, better current players, better structure, better future (younger players, more talent), have #1 picks to blow, etc... than a team like Washington.

Unless he wants to leave because of conference strength.

Is everyone going to start saying "coming home" just because LeBron did? The amount of times I've heard this phrase this past week is crazy. It's just like everyone saying "taking my talents ".

I wouldn't be surprised to see Philly get in on that.
