In a literal sense it's probably applicable. He plays in a generation after MJ and he tries to play the exact same style, more or less. Sometimes the imitation succeeds, sometimes it fails.

i don't really understand how anyone could argue this
the guy was a 6-6 shooting guard with mikes skillset and swag. even had the same coach ( phil jackson ).. then 3 peated finals appearances twice.. almost claiming all 6. claiming every single all decade award while getting as many or more 1st team all nba's, 1st team all defense's. while having a fadeaway as his go to shot later on in his career when his athletic dunking game faded. putting up 28/6/5 averages well into age 34 and his 17th season. hitting 40 game winning shots... the similar scoring records/streaks
its all too similar
theyre both even just as worshiped worldwide
honestly... i dont think there even is a possibility of anyone ever coming as close to jordan
to say kobe wasnt the jordan of this era is stupid actually... hes a god damn clone

How so? LeBron already won 2 rings as the best player and he's not quite 30. Robinson never won a ring. Don't give me that "he shrinks in the playoffs" nonsense either as his playoff stats are also great. Kobe's Finals stats are every bit as bad as LeBron's, if not worse.

Duncan was considerably better. It's not even an argument. Playoff stats:
Duncan:
23.2/11.5/2.6 on .573 TS%
25.1 PER
3.7 win shares
Robinson:
15.6/9.9/2.4 on .563 TS%
23.3 PER
3.0 win shares
Pau Gasol had better numbers in the 2009 and 2010 playoffs than '99 DRob.
