Just off the top of my head, Ibaka/Adams is better.

Close but I'd take the Pelicans.
Also, Ryan Anderson---will he play SF? That's a MONSTER frontcourt.

Pelican fans will love Asik on defense. he maybe the best positional interior defender in the entire league!. Once he he feet get set in the post, there is very little chance he gets scored on a backdown. His lower body is as strong as anyone in the league. He defends the pick and roll as well as anyone big in the league as well.He Is a fantastic offensive rebounder to go with his elite interior defense.
On offense he misses a lot of easy layups and has terrible hands, but he is a elite post defender. For m he is the biggest loss for us. Parsons and Ariza even eachother out and Lin was average to begin with, but this guys loss leaves u with no interior defender/rebounder without Dwight on the floor.

Davis> or equal to Ibaka and Asik pisses all over Adams.Do you even watch anyone outside of OKC?

Lol Ryan Anderson can't play SF, he'll get abused on defense.

With guys like Davis and Asik inside, he can get away with it for stretches.

Racist stereotyping much? The dude is a very good defensive player.

I hate when people try to use this shit to justify playing a complete mismatch defensively.
Against a good SF he would get beat off dribble literally every time leading to either FT's, a decent look at the rim, or a kick out to an open 3 shooter.
I personally thought they had a good thing going with Davis working inside as the lone big with Anderson on the outside as a stretch 4.
However Davis has also started to develop his own little mid range game as well, so playing him against a traditional defensive big as he continues to develop is a pretty good idea.

Not true at all. Asik wasn't on him the first 2 games. After that, they started Asik and LMA had a much harder time.

I'd say best rim protection, the 3 is part of the frontcourt so you cannot really say "frontcourt duo".

Asik did a decent job on LMA. :coleman:

Not really. LMA averaged 29 ppg on good efficiency against the Rockets.
Splitter did a good job on him in the 2nd round though.

Pelicans should have the best rim protection and Memphis/Chicago the best frontcourt (I've always thought frontcourt meant PF and C, otherwise you're counting the likes of Paul Pierce as part of your "frontcourt" and it no longer really means anything substantial)

If you say with a straight face Adam> Asik on defense, then that shows how little you know about basketball.

Considering Asik Is a post defender and that is his strength and LMA was killing the Rockets with his jumpshots and playing on top of the key, what did you expect?. Asik is not the quickest guy in the word. He is a elite rim protector and a positional defender. In the post he dosent get beat.Aldridge was beating from the mid-range.

Davis is close if not equal to Ibaka already and in 3 to 5 years it wont even be a comparison. A combination of Asik/Davis is much better then Adams/Ibaka and anyone with any brain could tell you that.

Davis is at worst 75% of the defender Ibaka is, and could very well be equally good.
Asik is miles and miles ahead of Adams. Not close, but OKC may have the 2nd best defensive frontcourt.

Gasol?
Asik is awesome on defense
On offense, he's the most frustrating thing to watch
Keep a running tally of how many reverse layups he does. I bet by seasons end its more than dunks.

You know who did a very good job on Aldridge and Dirk? Splitter.
Diaw on LeBron.
Duncan is Duncan.
Choose two.

Three pages in and nobody has mentioned Gibson/Noah? Significantly better than NO or OKC.

If they gel, then yes. I would say they are the best defensive frontcourt.
If they don't gel, you wind up with another Monroe/Drummond. Where both players can perform, but step on each others toes enough to open holes. Also, some of these pairings take time, especially for younger players.
