Is not seeing the Big 3 era live and in person. Living in London and being a broke student its not easy to fly out to Miami and see a game, and I didnt think the Big 3 would be separated this off season. Alas, it is over and I will never get to see it.

What are your biggest sports regrets?

Trust me, seeing big 3 choke every othet game and having role players to bail em is not really that fun to watch.

I missed most in game dunks of prime Kobe because lack of money to watch the games live

My biggest sports regret is not seeing Dan Marino lead my Dolphins to at least one Super Bowl win.

that i gave up because i knew that i was never going to be top 30-40 player in the NBA.
If any young kid is reading this: if you're a good shooter who doesn't have great handles, keep working. Being a 15-20 mins per game type of role player whose only role is to shoot wide open shots is way better than most jobs in this world.
Being a role player with very little to do still requires a lot of work but you don't need as much god given talent as the elite players in the NBA.

I wish I was a Patriots fan sooner. I regret rooting for a loser like Peyton Manning over Tom Brady.

probably started swimming one year late, as I transfered as a sophomore.

basketball wise, never put much effort into practicing the 3 point shot until I got much older.

can't say I feel like I missed out any important game first handed.
Spurs not having AC ruined that for me, wiped away all my memory of important games.

I turned down tickets to a now-famous Michigan-Michigan St. football game that I believe ended with a game-winning Braylen Edwards touchdown reception in triple overtime.

Also, I turned the channel just prior to Rasheed Wallace's steal and half-court buzzer beater against Denver (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dn6SPKhyZQ). Turned back to FSD a few minutes later to catch the post-game only to see they were in overtime. Bummer.

My biggest sports regret is that I missed seeing Bjorn Borg play live. Had finals and couldn't leave Gainesville soon enough.

Saw game 1 live in San Antonio - was a great experience being able to cheer along with everyone else. What's funny is that I thought I was having hot flashes during game 1 - then I thought I was hot because I was 8 rows from the top of the arena (hot air rises) - then at half time I found out the a/c was broken.

Went to game 1 in '13 - Spurs fans are much louder than Heat fans and of course, they don't leave early during Finals games.

Non-sports:

I regret not seeing Whitney Houston live. Did see Michael Jackson live twice though. Also saw Barry Gibb (oldest BeeGee), Diana Ross, Billy Joel, and surprisingly the best concert I've seen - Lionel Ritchie. Really dating myself here.

You had a chance to go to a finals game but instead you went to a middle school graduation??

You should be banned from ISH.

no pun intended

You didn't miss much. My biggest regret is having to share this world with NBA fans that have no f'n clue what a dominant team really is, much less what constitutes as being a GOAT.

Not continuing my snooker career (rich man's pool).

My dad went professional for about 5 years, made a good living, but he wanted to do something different. I was in 17+ year old leagues at 10. I made a couple (at 12). Then at 13 I just gave it up (super boring, wasn't fully committed to it). Maybe if I stuck with it I would have become pro too. Who knows. :confusedshrug:

Not a huge regret for me though. This is like the first time I've thought about it in months. :oldlol:

My regret was taking basketball too seriously. I trained hard with plyometrics and eventually suffered long term injury to my legs and really I was not good not matter how hard I tried.

Mentally it has taken me 17+ years to get over the fact I wasn't gonna be good at all. I should've been happy riding the pine on my freshman team (no cuts at my super small HS) and concentrate on things I could excel at.
