Property manager calls and says she's got some townhouses and apartments available. She also said she has some trailers at a very reasonable amount. My response was: "No offense ma'am, but I wouldn't live in a trailer park for free."

This is definitely one of those reputation/"concerned about what other people may think"-type situations. May seem silly to some folk, but that's my stance on it.

I don't live in the south btw, where it's much more acceptable.

As a temporary residence to save some money on rent for a short period of time? Absolutely. But I dont think I woukd ever prefer to live in one long term.

if it was near the ocean yeah. especially if it were just a summer getaway thing...

isn't trailer park rent only like $60-100~/month? you can probably get a used trailer for $500-1000~ i'm guessing but you'd have to clean, disinfect, and probablly gut the whole thing i bet. not bad for a crib if you're desperate tho.

if u got money u can probably hook one up too with satellite, nice interior, etc. but still that shit is too small for me where i'd get clausterphobia after so long.

A few summers ago, i stayed at a trailer park in joshua tree with a couple of friends. basically, it was a shroom-filled weekend, but the trailer park was pretty sick

not your average trailer park, though.

Definitely.

If you don't have a family to worry about and you can get to your job/school etc why not?

The only people who would give you shit are the materialistic people. Those people are losers.
