Where does he rank in the all time list?

I have him roughly around 13-15 ish, just short of the top 10. Many props to the little guy. Had a great career!

Honest ranking guys. Please.

He was an all-star talent, no doubt. But he lacked ability. Not quite in the ranks of generational talents such as Shaq/MJ/Hakeem/Dirk/Lebron/Wade/Robinson/Duncan/Garnett

I feel he is in that group of guys who never really 'made it' in the NBA... everything was always too much for them. Guys like Carter/McGrady/Nash/Allen/Dwight/Amare/Curry/Turiaf/Smush/Boozer/

Well anyways. Like to hear your thoughts ISH!

Top 10.

People have a hard time evaluating a player and his impact until they are gone, but this guy has done it all. 7 Finals, 5 rings, countless memorable battles and games including an 81 point ridiculous night.

Will end up 3rd all time in scoring, 1st in playoffs.

Other Laker greats are calling him the greatest Laker.

Couple knocks against him:

-Missed the playoffs in his prime
-Won the majority of his championships as a sidekick
-One-way player that never impacted the game on the defensive end
-Never won MVP + Finals MVP in the same season(MJ, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Duncan, Shaq, Lebron, Hakeem, Moses all did this)
- Never was individually dominant enough to accumulate enough accolades to put him in the top ten. MVP+Finals MVP tally:

If Kobe becomes the NBA greatest scorer of all-time and passes Kareem does he move up a spot or two? Or passes Malone more likely to become 2nd most points scored in NBA history. I think his resume alone would warrant top 5 consideration at the very least.

I love how after LeBron getting spanked by the spurs Kobe was appreciated like never before and constantly getting mentioned as a top 5 player here. Now that fakkits, who are cleveland fans again, crawled up from their holes, he's suddenly in the 11-15 range again :D

Literally no case to have him lower than 9 even if you're the biggest hater on the planet.
Possibly the greatest laker ever, legit case for top 5

Lebron's a beast. Much better stats and already has the same amount of Finals MVPs. Only thing Lebron is missing is those extra sidekick rings of Kobe's.

Magic:
5/3/3>>>>5/2/1

Duncan:
5/3/2>>>>5/2/1

Shaq won the majority of Kobe's rings for him. Much more dominant in his prime.

Hakeem has the same amount of Finals MVPs. Bird too. Both have a good case against Bryant.
