was putting up empty stats, even in wins? Why do fellow Cleveland fans now want him so badly? Sorry maybe not Cleveland fans, just lebron fans. I, as a lebron fan, actually feel indifferent about the potential trade. But why want some empty stat padder on your team?

Love makes the playoffs if the wolves happen to be in the east. the empty stat thing is so stupid, why people keep saying that means they're stupid too.

Saying he puts up empty stats is basically translated as, "Look at me! I'm disregarding stats and I'm seeing something you're not! I'm so much smarter than you". They basically think disregarding stats makes them sound smarter.

If Kevin Love wins a championship, it will be empty. You can't even have dude around at pool parties and shit. Dude shows up and the water is gone.

McFail, you just salty.

There is an old saying in the NBA ('tell us Gramps!') and it goes like this:

Great players win championships, good players make the playoffs.

6 years, no playoffs, other people took a lot more shit for a lot worse.

Did you read the first part of my post? :oldlol: Its not like he's guiding the wolves to the worst record in the league.

Good theory tho. Robert Horry> Durant

It's not that Kevin Love isn't overrated. Its that his game is suited to be the perfect second or third option, not someone you run your offense though

i have seen some posters say things like:

Kevin Love grabs alot of rebounds/offensive rebounds because he would miss shots on purpose just to stat pad his rebounds with put backs. That is why his FG% is lower than 50, or barely 50. Because he would go 1/2 or 2/4 with 2 offensive rebounds in 1 possession.

is this true?

I saw an interview with him where he talked about grabbing rebounds on shots at the end of quarters. He said no one goes after them and they can add 2 or 3 rebounds per game to your stats.

I don't understand this. 26 ppg on 59 TS% is a 3rd option yet 28 ppg on 50 TS% (Iverson 99-00) is a first option?

I think you base your scoring option off aesthetics of play rather than the ball going into the hoop.

It's just recency bias hard at work.

Every LeBron fan was excited about LeBron/Wiggins/Kyrie but now that Cleveland have Love they are excited about that.

I've done mock draft things before online where you take virtual control of a team and trade and negotiate with other forum users and while people move draft picks around all the time in trades, AFTER the fake draft takes place almost no one ever is willing to trade any of the guys they just drafted because they become dead set on those guys the instant they draft them. They start creating all of these scenarios in their heads where it plays out really well and what not. It's just the recency bias. Guys take a liking to the most recent event. Had Cleveland publicly came out and said they weren't moving Wiggins for Love, all of the same LeBron stans happy now would be applauding them for it.

How did he get exposed? Guess you don't know what being exposed feels like. Just like how you moved from miami to cleveland like lebronxrings. Guessing the minimum wage at mcdonalds couldn't cover the rent and you had to move to cleveland. :oldlol: :oldlol:

Empty stats are when you are down 30 in the 4th and score 10-15 points, but without stopping them from scoring.

people also accused love of missing shots on purpose to get his own rebounds, for stat paddding aka empty stats.

there are such thing, but i don't believe he has empty stats, he just isn't a leader, and was in teh west, in teh east he could make the playoffs and possibly get out the first round, now as a side kick he can do both at the very least.

i was in the "be patient" camp.

I wanted the cavs to wait and see how things unfolded. I was never a huge fan of Kevin Love, but i'm not and have not come out and said HE SUCKS or anything like that. He's a top PF in the league, and the fact that you have half the posters on this site saying it's a terrible trade and the other half saying it's a great trade shows at the end of the day it was a fair trade.

Minny got a haul for Love, but I don't think the cavs necessarily overspent giving up two unproven guys and a non-lotto pick. Granted, Wiggs is super hyped, but he's raw, and no matter what will take some time to develop into the star he can become. Bennett can be really good, or he can be just an OK starting PF. We don't know yet. What we do know is having Love and Bennett on the same team would be pretty redundant since they are both PF's that specialize in rebounding and hitting outside jumpers.

Cavs fans should not be pissed or unhappy at all about this trade.

Only idiot would say that Kevin Love stats are empty.. Dude is a beast, a rebounding machine that avg 26ppg with 59%ts.. Easily top 5 best player in the league and has been a superstars since his rookie year.. Cleveland are lucky their team is so stacked.. I think this Cavs team even without LeBron is a 60+ win team and with LeBron they're 50+ win team for sure..

He's a great PF, Top 3 in the NBA. ISH just looks at how many times you've been to the playoffs to say whether or not you're good or not.

The same people who trashed him are gonna love him when he puts up the same numbers this year, except for a team that will make the playoffs.
