Don't really care for campaign, and didn't get into zombies till Black Ops, but fair points. I feel like MW2's multiplayer is just untouchable though...I still play that shit from time to time

Oh I love MW2. Second favorite COD game after WaW.

The only thing that really pissed me off about MW2 was the online community. Too many campers with that Hearbeat sensor shit and also far too many faggy "quickscopers"

But the maps were great, the classes and everything were done well, and they introduced some fun as **** shit like the riot shield and throwing knives.

Arguably the best story/characters/atmosphere ever in game, with a unique mix of TPS/stealth/survival gameplay, incredible soundtrack, and underrated multiplayer. Most shooters are just mindless games of whack a mole with retarded AI enemies, and near unlimited ammo. The only challenge comes from bullet sponge enemies, or just throwing a shitload of dudes at you. TLoU actually makes you think while playing, and the challenge comes from somewhat intelligent AI, limited ammo and resources, and the fact that you can only take 2 or 3 bullets before dying.

Yes I'm mostly talking about modern shooters, although I don't think they suck. Bioshock Infinite was a good game, but it's one of the more frustrating examples. They set up this awesome world and story, but after 15 minutes it turns into an endless shooting gallery. TLoU had a bunch of quiet sections with no action, which made the combat encounters way more memorable and exciting.

I had great maps and lots of vehicles. II had Heroes, but I didn't really care too much for them outside of that Mos Eisley gamemode. Oh and space battles, but at times those got repetitive.

The one indoor medical base on the asteroid map in BFII was great because of how much chaos and grenade spam was going on in the narrow hallways.

The cool shit on this game was that the memory for the map lasted a really longtime and was all around the maps world.

I agree with you for the most part. The game had a weight to it that no other games have. The desperation of constantly being low on supplies, the thud hand to hand combat. The unrivaled (in video games) Character development and story telling. I rate it as one of the best games ever. (top 5 probably)

BUT!!!!! I think the game isn't for teenagers and young adults. Not that it's inappropriate but it appeals to people with some life experience. When your 18 all you want is non stop action, explosions and t*tties. Or cookie cutter stories about teens coming from small beginning to be world changers later in life. TLOU has slow paced combat that's meant to be savored and enjoyed, and the story really weighs heavy on adults of a certain age with children of their own.

It's like asking an 8 year old to like Scotch, they like chocolate milk and they don't get why you like something that's bitter.

If you liked True Crime, then I have to recommend Sleeping Dogs. (it was actually developed as true crime: hong kong in its early days, but got canceled and later rebooted) It's great.

They're all good (well, except BoS). I'd have to go with New Vegas since it adds a lot of new features and continues the main story/themes of the old games. Fallout 3 was too linear, while previous fallout games usually gave you a lot of free reign.

Fallout 3 was a great game, and going through the DC ruins was really nice. But there was a lot of stupid bullshit. Little Lamplight, Fawkes and Charon forcing you to sacrifice yourself unless you have Broken Steel installed...What the hell were the Enclave even doing as the major villain when after Fallout 2 they should have been mostly exterminated?

It's hard to answer because after playing a game so much throughout the years, you don't get the same feeling. Like Super Metroid I would consider one of the GOAT. Amazing, etc, but I would be so bored if I played it now.

My favorite game of all time is Metroid Prime 2 Echoes.

Another game that I consider a masterpiece is Yoshi's Island. My avatar has a Yoshi's Island egg. And Super Mario 64 is amazing, especially when you try pass the stages as fast as possible. Demon Souls, all the Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro… yeah I guess I have a type. Beaten all of them and even did a few play throughs on a couple and can definitely say it’s my fav series of all time. Not big on nostalgia so the newest most advanced game will always be the best for me. Haven’t had time to look into Tsushima yet but that’s next on my list.

God of war really stuck out to me, still need to go finish that. Nier Automata was good but never got around to finishing. Last of us 2 was the last game I ran a full playthrough on, and it’s nice to see actual combat strategy and ai. Enemies actually plan out how to surround you. I’m tired of games being lazy and making the difference between easy, normal, hard just plain old ‘they do x more dmg and have y more hp’. Hopefully Last of Us sets a new bar and others follow suit.
