I'm told Mavs plan is to rotate 3 vet PGs and have them spell Monta Ellis at SG, too. Depth will allow Dallas to play up tempo all the time.
Preparing for that run in the playoffs.

What about 80 year old Dirk?

Its fair to now put them in the championship or bust section along with the thunders.

Only to be killed by team-play gods Spurs or younger, more athletic Thunder ... as always.

What about 80 year old Dirk?

What about him? He just hat the 2nd most efficient season of his career while being the primary offensive option at age 35 with only Ellis able to create for himself. So yeah, what about Dirk?

As always? Mavs and OKC have played two series so far, both won one. When did you start watching NBA stuff?

Mavs are a bad matchup for Thunder. They move the ball just as well as San Antonio and have an elite stretch 4 (Dirk) that will take Ibaka out of the paint.

Rick Carlyle would also toy with Scott Brooks.

Young OKC Thunder 4 Defending champions Mavs 0, swept.

Spurs are like 100000-1 against Mavs, except 2006

You didn't watch the 2nd Mavs-OKC series, right? And why are you ignoring the first one, where Dirk totally abused them?

And Spurs are 4-2 against Dallas in playoff series. The last one went to 7 games despite the Mavs being significantly less talented.

What is your point? Dallas doesn't get destroyed everytime, so are you brain damaged or something?

I smell meltdown ... U mad???

Future Champs Mavs 4 Rookie Thunders 1
Sophomore Thunders 4 Defending Mavs 0

In last year series Spurs were coasting, if they play like WCF of finals level, it would had been another swept.

So, in 2015 Thunder/Spurs 4 Up tempo Mavs 1/0

How casual of a fan does somebody need to be to think that an NBA team coached by Gregg Popovich is "coasting" in a playoff series going to 7 games?

1) When his team needs to going 7 games with a far inferior team as 14 Mavs.

And then ...

2) When this same team then destroys 3 teams better, far better and far far better in next rounds.

Capicci?

Casual or not, I like Mavs, I hope they get the 7th/8th seed ...

To get destroyed by #1 Spurs or #2 Thunders.

He's a LeBron stan and everyone who has followed basketball these past 2 years and isn't a dipshit knows that if OKC made it back to the Finals it would have been like the Pistons/Lakers rematch where the Pistons swept LA even though they lost to them in the Finals like a year prior.

LeBron stans were so goddamn scared of OKC, as soon as Westbrook got hurt they talked so much shit knowing that they were safe that year :oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol:

Safe until 2014 Spurs got their souls raped. And LeRun escaped from his stacked older team to a stacked younger team to get more *rings.

all those tasty trailing 3's he loves so much.

Jog down the court following transition, guard kicks it back, crowd cheers/groans before Dirk even lets go of the ball. Swish

^confirmed for not watching any of that series.

Carlisle coached his ass off and the Mavs commited to a gameplan that was fairly sucessful in stopping the spurs. Mavs stayed home, left the bigs low on D, and forced the Spurs guards to penetrate and finish.

The heat....didn't do any of that. It wasn't their style. Problem is they weren't athletic/commited enough to blitz crisply and the Spurs just carved them up.

Picture it like two boxers. The Mavs played conservative D and forced the Spurs guards to be aggresive. The Heat's D played the Spurs aggresive and let their guards turn to counter-punchers.

Yeah, Dirk is pretty much the perfect big to trail on the break. Tyson might have some issues but he has always been a mobile/active big.
