I thought he was going to beast since he wasn't hobbled and looked pretty sharp vs the Pacers. Watching him vs the Spurs though, I thought he should've posted up more. I don't know why he was struggling so much vs Danny Green:wtf: He played better against them in 2013 while hobbled than he did healthy in 2014:biggums: :banghead:

Could be that his body got used to all the resting and just caught up on him during the Spurs series.

What went wrong with Lebron in 2011?

Freaking Brandon Roy on 1 foot was killing Dallas defense.

Stamina/endurance. Couldn't keep up with the fast paced and ball moving Spurs. The teams they went up against before were slow paced.

He started out first quarters pretty good but just fades afterward.

Fatigue, and lack of motivation. I think Wade really needs to lose weight in the off season

Basketball is a game of stamina. And his muscles aren't even helping him. Both Kobe and MJ losses some weight in their 30's.

Lebron's quitting leadership.

You're not giving Danny Green enough credit as a defender here. He's consistently one of the top perimeter defenders, and the Spurs defense is extremely versatile at the 2&3 because of Leonard's ability to rotate and cover for Green on penetration and both guys can switch off eachother in the PnR. Age and an inconsistent midrange J means Wade's usual slashing game isn't as effective, especially when the refs go easier with the whistles the later the postseason goes

He just was out of synch and slow. Watch the defense-videos of him out there. It was embarrassing bad like he wasn't even willing to put the effort in to cover his man, which disrupted the Heat's defensive plans. Add to that, his clear beta role which did not spark him to step up to try and lead his team and a Spurs team playing so well offensively kind of took him off his game too.

Without all the turnovers, easy fast breaks and layups the Heat live off of, their offense can get pretty stagnant.

What is funny is that you can seriously only ask that question about one of Lebron's series with the Heat in the Big 3 Era. The Heatles played 16 playoff series together.

This.

He clearly hit the wall in that series and couldn't even muster up effort.

He jogged back on defense pretty much the entire series.

Danny Green destroyed him. He's an underrated defender.

As far as I'm concerned Danny was our best perimeter defender last season. He played Wade very well.

That said, Wade just looked like he didn't give a shit. If he did, I don't know why he didn't post up more. That's what all struggling players should try to do.

he kept trying to dribble/crossup Danny instead of posting up which didn't make any sense.

He was terrible.

Looked like he gave up after game 3 imo.
