It's fair that Irving didn't make the top 20. I do feel Curry is a little high though.

Curry mad overrated.

Also no Wade or Bosh. I personally would pick Bosh before Cousins.

I don't like James Harden but he's better than #19.
And Curry is too high.

Curry mad overrated.
Agreed. Even more overrated than Irving was last year.
Meticode
07-24-2014, 03:56 PM

It's all subjective. I'd take Cousins over Bosh at this point of their careers.

They clearly said that Rose & Kobe could go either way & that it was just a guess.
Paul at 3??

I like John Wall, but I can't believe he made this list.
Smook A.
07-24-2014, 03:58 PM
Curry is a great offensive player and passes very well but putting him at 5 is too high. He's not a good defender.
Beastmode88
07-24-2014, 03:58 PM
Anthony Davis at 4 is crazy :coleman:
I'd give him top 10 potential cause he can ball but #4 is ridiculous. Also none of the spurs made the list. :lol

Looking through this list makes me miss the early 2000's. This crop of top talent is weak

So what? James Harden most likely will too. The Rockets will probably have a better record than the Lakers as well. And look, he's at 19.

How does John Wall get over Dirk or Duncan? They were both better than him in the regular season imo, but Wall played like shit in the Playoffs. I barely noticed him out there.
moe94
07-24-2014, 04:05 PM
Harden is clearly better than 19. He's a top 10 player. I mean, how horrific is the SG position these days if the best player is only considered barely top 20?
Not to be a homer but PG at #18? Noah is better?
Roundball_Rock
07-24-2014, 04:07 PM
No Wade or Bosh?
Gabuyaux
07-24-2014, 04:07 PM

PG can disappear from a game and the Pacers can still win. If Noah disappears, Bulls shit the bed.

Dude fell off, apparently. Beginning of the season, people were saying he was top 5 or looking in. Now he's only at 18 on a BR list? The same people who made an article asking who you'd rather have between him and Durant? :kobe:
beastee
07-24-2014, 04:11 PM
Rose on this list is accurate. He will be top 20 this year.
PG too low, Harden slightly too low, Boogie Down slightly too high, Curry way too high and switch CP3 with Goatbrook and this list is not too far off. I would keep Anthony Davis at #4...he is gonna beast this season next to Asik.
JimmyMcAdocious
07-24-2014, 04:15 PM
Curry's not a bad defender tho. His drtg is above average (104; which is what Unibrow, Asik, Wall, and Rubio had) and and his d win shares is one of the best in the league (19th overall). Even with the eye test, it's not like he gets destroyed nightly. I'd say he's average surrounded by good to great defenders (Bogut, Iggy, Green, JO, Thompson).
Offensively he is the best PG in the NBA, and I stand by that.
I didn't click on the link btw because **** Bleacher Report. Assuming he's around top 5, which isn't that far off what I would place him. Probably. Don't have a list off the top of my head.

Curry overrated hdf is he at #4?
and drose in this list? LMAO
PG can disappear from a game and the Pacers can still win. If Noah disappears, Bulls shit the bed.
I agree but I feel PG is better than Noah, Wall, Lillard, and arguably Cousins who are all ahead of him...

Davis, Curry, Love are too high. Dirk, Duncan, Parker not even on the list...

How could they not be? Just 2 months ago the Heat were the most stacked team of all time. If no one is claiming Bosh and Wade as top 20 that means Lebron alone makes any team all time stacked!

Bosh could have an argument, I could see him going back to 22 and 9, but Wade? No. You must play at least this many games to qualify.

I know! They don't even realize that they give Lebron more praise than his stans do!
Exactly. With LeBron: Wade and Bosh are superstars on the most stacked team of all-time; without LeBron: Wade and Bosh are not even top 20 players and they will be lucky to win 45 games next year. LeBron not only elevates an average team to an all-time stacked level--look at how a 33 win team is now stacked too by adding him and a 19 year old--but he turns good players into superstars. They basically are implying he is the GOAT. Again, this is what his detractors are essentially saying.
You are right. They are so consumed by a combination of hatred but also secret admiration for LeBron's ability that they twist themselves into a pretzel and fail to realize what is implicit in their arguments. 2/5 is another example. LeBron is expected to win the championship every year. When his team loses, it is his fault, not his team's (with some legends it is they win, the team loses) even though Wade and Bosh both played worse than the #4 options on many championship teams. No other player is held to this standard.

I might say it's an accurate list for people who hasn't followed the NBA at all, and am starting to follow the NBA for the first time ever this upcoming season.
that WOULD make an OKAY list of the top 20 players to follow at this point forward to learn more about the league
okay, I tried alright.

CurryLmao at Curry just coming off a 24ppg and 9apg season shooting 61TS% while shooting 8 3s a game and being that low on the list.
Curry just became the only player in history to shoot above 42% on 3s while averaging 7.7 3PT attempts in consecutive years.

Kobe and Rose will probably step back up to their old game, but still, there has to be better players that we KNOW will perform at a high level to put on that list.

Dirk and Dunca definetely deserve to be on there. The rankings for Kobe and Rose are a joke, there is no way they will perform at that level.
I love currys game, but i think he is too high on that list too high, same as paul ( except for the " love his game part ).
Personally i expect Kawhi to get more responsibilities next season, so he might crack the top 20. You could kick harden of the list for him.

He was at 19. He's garbage defensively and his style of play has yet to translate into the playoffs successfully.
Where do you expect him to be ranked? Top 10? I hope not because that's a joke. Two top 10 players on the same team and they can't even win 3 playoff games?
