Lin asked how those comments affected him.

"It didn't affect me at all," he said. "I agree with his statements. Those two are the cornerstones. They have lost other players and they're going to get other players and they're going to be a good team. I know who James is as a person and I've spoken to him since I've been traded. He didn't mean it in any derogatory or condescending way, I don't think it's a secret that he and Dwight are the cornerstones of the Houston Rockets."

So... Was Harden still wrong?

Yea harden is still wrong. Lin would definitely be feeling some type of way if he was still in Houston. He's in LA now, why would he care?

Of course James didn't mean it in a derogatory or condescending way, but he still shouldn't have said it. I personally don't have a problem with what he said and I think people are desperately trying to make something out of nothing simply because they don't like Harden.

He's the best SG in the league. He should know he will get scrutinized for every little thing he does or says. That's a side effect that comes with being a star and relevant.

He's better than that.

Lin is ok with it because he's humble and he's not an idiot. He knows he can't piss ANYONE off in the NBA.

Parsons IS pissed and he doesn't agree. He called Harden's statement "ridiculous".

Yup.

Lin is the classiest player in the NBA.

Does anyone actually disagree with what Harden said though? Whether it's the right thing to say that to the public is one thing, but he is absolutely right in that himself and Dwight are cornerstones whilst the others are role players.

He definitely was not a Dwight fan.

I didn't consider Parsons a role player. He was a borderline star and they could have developed into a Big 3.

I think Harden's comments were actually shots being fired at Parsons.

If I was Parsons, I would respond to Harden, "At least I play defense"

But he really doesn't. Harden's defense is ball sack, but Parsons is below average defender.
