After our successful search for the gay posters on ISH, which was shut down prematurely but still served its purpose, I think its time to round up our autistic posters, and by round up I mean document so we can improve their rights like we did for the gay posters.
Once again, if you are prone to being a pedo than for the sake of categorization you will also be signed up. Come on brothers, step forward. Dont be shy. If you come forward, it will allow the creators of this forum to be aware and possibly add accessibility features to make your experience on this site more friendly.
I am aware that some people have been having trouble identifying the font on the site? That may be a sign of autism, so to be safe you should sign up here just in case.

Put me down for unconfirmed. I could very well be but have not been tested.
The fact you think the creators of this site might add features probably just means you're autistic yourself. So go ahead and edit your op to add yourself to the "confirmed autistic" list.

I dropped out of school in the 9th grade. I'm on social security for depression. I don't like change.
I may have it, but it hasn't been confirmed.

I work with students who have severe autism. Most of them are nonverbal.

Euroleague, 9er, Kenneth Griffin. No way they don't all have it. How else could you summon the energy to get shut down that many times a day and keep coming back for more.

Euroleague easy. Dude gets legitimately pissed off if you disagree with him. Starts hurling insults like its nothing. Something isn't right there.

Hmm very interesting, thanks a lot for sharing guys. The rest of you, come on and make a difference. You saw how liberated the gay posters were after they got their issues out in the open, and it can be the same for you. Equality can only be achieved when we are frank about our differences.

sweggeh just wanna say I love the work you're doing in this thread. Bringing all the autistic kids together is a great way to get them to admit and also to find the help they need and deserve. It's also good for them to know that despite them being a little different they are never excluded from the ish community. I tip my hat to you, sir.

Thank you friend, I appreciate your comments. If I can help just one autistic poster today, I can go to sleep tonight happy.

I think that people just get used to smiling, you know.
without it, I don't really know what other people are thinking anyways.

Lots of people who do not understand Autism here.
I'd need to read more of each posters posts clustered together to get a good feel for who is Autistic.
Look for rambling and run on sentences, and unwavering thought processes. Also, an inclination to get fully immersed in small details and/or obsession.
I doubt we have any fully fledged Autistic folk on here, but I can imagine we have some other folks on the lower end of the spectrum.

i've been working with two 4 year old autistic non verbal twin girls for the past six weeks and it's been maybe the most fascinating and intellectually stimulating experience of my entire life. i'm not well read on autism, apart from having read The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night which is written from the perspective of an autistic teenage male.
amazing witnessing these girls, who also have significant global delays, experience the world for more or less the first time, and incredibly fulfilling forming emotional and intimate relationships with them.
