Seriously though, what's the point of an alternate account? What am i missing here? Is it for more tangible validation for one's posts?

There is a formula to estimate how much your rep/neg powers are worth. When you figure it out, you just start mining to get your rep powers up. Very similar to the Bitcoin thing, and like Bitcoin, you can do stuff with your rep power. Ex: I recently purchase the Members List with 100 rep points.

All I can say is that it's amazing to be in the Michael Jordan level of reps. :pimp:
