This is kinda haunting listening back to it. This is a song she made back when she just Hannah Montana, a good girl who would never twerk in public. Its kinda shocking how much it describes her now and possibly how she feels.

What would you do if you found Miley Cyrus in your bed?

What's so sad about it? She was one of the most relevant topics of an entire year in popular culture. Do you think she regrets anything? Absolutely not. She'd do it again and again and I wouldn't blame her.
Its sad that she has to resort to this for attention. Its not like she wasnt hugely popular before anyway. She clearly has mental issues.

She just changed her image from relatively wholesome to slutty, you know, like every pop singer ever.
Nope, she took it a level further. The thing is, if she stayed as Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus the great singer she could have been popular for a really long time, in a classy type of way like Beyonce or Adele, which has longevity. But she went the short term popularity route by resorting to shock tactics, which will fade away eventually and she will be another washed up slut who had her 15 minutes of fame and lost it.

End of the day, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga were more relevant for a year or two than most artists could ever ever hope to be. :confusedshrug:
Yeah but Im saying its not like Miley Cyrus is Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga was shock value from day one. Miley was there firstly because of her dad but then became bigger than him and had her own fanbase, she was pretty much dominating that teenage girl demographic. Then she threw it away for a couple of years of higher popularity, when she could have maintained her former status for a much longer time. I dont see her being able to return to what she was after this.

She won't be able to be a Disney teen pop singer anymore?

Im just saying, she is being lauded for her master plan to make her more popular and relevant, but Im making the point that going through the shock tactic route of gaining popularity just means your longevity will be greatly reduced, so maybe it wasnt a good move.

It's sad that society still finds it's shocking to see a former child star dry-humping on stage. I find it extremely unoriginal and boring.

Why would you think this has anything to do with longevity? Miley's getting the money while she can and then she'll go away. These pop stars come and they go; that's the whole point. In a couple of years, Miley will be replaced with someone younger and more wholesome and the cycle will start all over again. That's the way this works.
