Long overdue.
Nigha should've been hired instead of Antoni.

The last time Byron Scott was coach was the last time a team ranked in the bottom 5 in defensive efficiency for 3 straight years.
Ouch. And I don't see an above average defender on that roster.

Hes been sucking kibes dick REAL hard the past couple months, which is the most important thing a candidate can do as far as the fans are concerned. So this isnt much of a surprise.

What is his system like? His coaching style?
Generalize it for me in an almost injust degree. Brook's super ISO? Pop's super ball movement?

Solid, if unspectacular hiring. How quickly people forget that Scott coached the Nets to consecutive Finals, and he also coached some pretty good Hornets teams.
I'd still would have rather hired Phil back when the time was right, but at least this is better than Dumbleavy. :kobe:

Byron Scott is okay HC I guess. The only bright side to this is he is upgrade over MDA and Mike Brown.:D

I'd take Mike Brown over Byron 100 out of 100 times.
MB actually gives a sh*t and works hard, and actually coaches the players.
Byron just makes players run suicides and alienates his stars. Kyrie stood up for Brown. He never stood up for Byron.

This is the Lakers tho. How he coaches isnt what matters to the fans. How does he feel about Kobe? Thats whats important.
Does he respect Kobe? Will he cater to Kobe? Kobe is the issue, he has to get along with Kobe. Win or lose, at the end of the day, how will he as a coach make Kobe look?

The most important question that hasn't been asked yet is...
Does he like Asian point guards? :confusedshrug:

Lakers about to allow more points per game than they did under MDA. Byron has never heard of defense.

It's sad but that one man has become our entire team, outside Gasol who plays too much Euroball, in that he's playing too many minutes for his national team.
