Hmmmm.......
Thats actually an intriguingly difficult question. Have to give the edge off the top of my head to Bran/Love but a case can be made the other way.

Durant and Davis. The rim protection is the difference maker.

LeBron + Love.
Durant hasn't been able to win with Westbrook + Harden + Ibaka, etc. Give LeBron that squad as a rookie and it's over for the league.

Tough question
I think I go Durant + Davis, I think Davis will be a 25/12 guy with top notch defense in a year or two, while Love is a 25/12 guy with no defense.
Lebronxrings

Lebron + love
Lebron is the most dominating force in all of basketball, make no mistake. Although love is really outmatched with the rest, lebron is so good that he can carry on with love. Lebron has such great vision and can make anyone good sort of like phil jackson, who made mgay and kobrick, in a player version.

Give Lebron those guys as a rookie and they don't develop into becoming anything more than role playing spot up shooters.
And then when they don't win, they get the full blame. Who's career did bran enhance? :biggums:

Ever heard of Mo Williams? Guy became an All-Star playing next to LeBron.
Imagine what Westbrook, Ibaka, and Harden would do next to LeBron. Game over for the league.

Incorrect, his best season as a pro was his first year in Cleveland where he got a ton of open shots and knocked them down (if we're not counting the playoffs). He had higher assist numbers in Milwaukee because he had to facilitate the offense more, but on the Cavaliers this wasn't his job. He averaged a minute to a minute and half less in Cleveland than he did in his prime Bucks years and averaged a career high in points for Cleveland, free throw percentage and three point percentage at 44% in 08-09.

Biggest mismatch is Durant guarding Lebron, so will have to go with Lebron and Love.
Don't get me wrong though this is a close call, to respond to an earlier comment citing Davis's shot blocking. I think this would be ineffective given how potent Love is shooting from the outside. Love is almost the perfect teammate for Lebron. If Cleveland can keep Wiggins and get Love that offense will be deadly.

lol what? When Durant and LeBron have gone h2h recently it isn't a mismatch at all. Both LeBron and Durant both get theirs regardless of who is guarding them in those games.

I will say, that one game where Durant COOKED LeBron last season was hilarious.
Someone on here uploaded a video of Durant doing some crossover/turnaround stepback move and drilling a shot, and then LeBron went down on the other end and tried to mimic it but awkwardly traveled, had horrible footwork, and then bricked the shot :lol
And then later in the game they had a cool little back and forth moment until Durant drilled a 3 in LeBrons eye and then LeBron tried to do the same and bricked it

Lebron, Love...they're both a lot more selfless. They are able to pass the ball to whoever is open. Lebron and Love would work better at making the players around them better.

If you want to see a mismatch watch their first game. OKC didn't even have Westbrook and MIA were doubling Durant from the start and he still dominated that game.

Yes because LeBrons "hold the ball for 10 seconds and then dump it off to someone" style of offense makes everyone better :oldlol:
And Durants style which sometimes leads to games where he scores 54 points while only possesing the ball for 3 minutes total in the game doesn't help teammates :facepalm
Look at the stats bro, Durant last year got .9 less assists per game than LeBron and did it not only on a team that starts Kendrick Perkins and Thabo Sefolosha but he also took a lot less passes to do it.

My plan would be to have a true point. Anyway, the Thunder don't have the players that the Heat have to create shots. Lebron's assists would go way up with a player like Love who can shoot anywhere on the floor.

Yes, poor LeBron would have averaged more assists if not for his horrible supporting cast :facepalm
Dwyane Wade averaging 19 ppg on 55% shooting. "Hey can we get someone who can create their own offense in here!?"
Chris Bosh 16 ppg on 51% shooting. His whole supporting cast in Miami has been efficient scorers and floor spacers but now he didn't even average 7 APG because his supporting cast wasn't good enough
Dude is officially the most overrated passer in NBA history with the way people are acting like 6 assists and 4 turnovers per game is some GOAT tier shit.

1. Wade missed almost half the season.
2. No one on the Heat was efficient last season other than the big 3. Even GOAT 3 point shooter Ray Allen was well below his career average in 3 point percentage. Next :sleeping

So Wade plays just 53 games on 33MPG and LeBron's production goes down over the course of the season.
Westbrook plays just 46 games on 31MPG and Durant's production significantly increases over the course of the season.
But I thought LeBron makes everyone better and Wade was just holding him back like in the 2011 Finals? Shouldn't LeBrons production have gone up with Wade missing time, based on what I've been hearing from LeBron stans, or am I missing something?

Davis has potential to be the best defensive anchor in the league. He's also a 20 ppg scorer already.
I'd take him and Durant.

Yes, you are missing something. Durant was playing with a team full of young studs in the prime of their careers, while Lebron was playing with a bunch of washed up senior citizens that no other team wanted.
Haslem, Rashard Lewis, Shane Battier? Name one other contender that would have players that old and one dimensional in their regular rotation!

So LeBron's production depends on having an uber stacked supporting cast
   It all makes sense now. No wonder he ditched Miami to head to Cleveland. Two all star teammates wasn't enough.

Not uber stacked, just players who aren't about to enter a retirement home. What I would't give to be able to watch Bran play with Westbrook and Ibaka. If Bron had those two guys on his side this year, he would have swept the Spurs! I would love to see Durant being forced to carry a bunch of useless cast off veterans. Probably a first round exit. :lol

If Ibaka was in the East he would have been an All-Star over Bosh. That is a fact. Ibaka was a more efficient scorer, better rebounder, and way better at protecting the paint.

Durant and Davis.
Love is awful defensively. Some of his numbers seem inflated. Only thing I like better with him over Davis now in the future is his shooting and passing. Anthony Davis is going to be an elite rim protector and somebody whom you build around ala Durant and Davis, unlike Love.
LeBron is better than Durant but building around Durant brings it's advantages. His ability to play off ball and play with high usage players like Westbrook gives your team more potential. Pair a player like Lawson or any above average PG with LeBron and you can't maximize his talents, you can with Durant.
Davis IMO has potential be the 3rd wheel to the Durant/LeBron party, Love is best suited playing with a LeBron or Durant. Given Davis's position and potential as a rim protector/defensively while he may not be as good individually as LeBron or Durant his impact can go along way.

Can you imagine if Miami played the current New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher almost 40 minutes in their final game vs the Spurs :lol :lol :lol :lol
How many of the final minutes of that game would LeBron sit out then? 15 minutes to send a message to the Heat FO that he needs better players around him?

Again, Lebron is a more efficient scorer and better ball handler than Durant. Lebron is expected to take more of the load because of the skills he possesses that Durant lacks. Lebron doesn't have shooters like Durant, but Durant doesn't have players to create shots on their own like Lebron had in Miami. He's more prone to passing than Durant, but he has ball dominant players like Wade and Bosh on his team. They're not as likely to get open behind the three point line like Durant's teammates because they can get fouled easier and get closer to the basket. Wade draws the foul therefore dropping Lebron's assist totals. Numbers aren't everything man. Just stfu with the numbers.
