Not sure what to expect, he had a successful tenure with the Nets. If Nash can walk, and Kobe still plays at a high level I'd be optimistic. Probably another transition year, we'll see.

Least it's not Mike "No Defense" D'antoni or Mike "No Offense" Brown. I actually think he'll do a decent job if he shores up the defense. That's the difference between being in the lottery again or being respectable. I don't see the Lakers making the playoffs though, unless several teams in the West get wrecked by injuries or if the Lakers pull a miracle off like Phoenix did last season.
