Jordan. The reasons are obvious and have been discussed to death so no point in regurgitating all that.
But I'll be classy and say LeBron is great too (though I don't expect class from the Bran stans).

MJ from '89 - '93 is the greatest basketball player ever, so ... yea, that guy.
I prefer LeBron's 2009 - 2012 over 2011 - 2014.

thread title should read *LeBron 2012-2014 -- and in that case, its REALLY close. i would probably lean toward jordan though because of team success. pippen handled the bulls offense and defense while jordan got to shoot a lot of shots, and was successful doing so.

The fact that one of the 4 years includes 2011 kills it from the start.

OP, the fact that you would even ask this tells me you don't get it. Don't get what? That LeBron is just a great basketball player, while Jordan was the greatest basketball player who ever lived. MJ > LBJ all day, every day, twice on Sunday, three times on every other day, until the sun burns out and the human race is extinct.
It would be so much more fun to root for LeBron, and people would appreciate his game so much more if we could just squash this notion that he has a chance to challenge the throne. Just let it go.

Michael Jordan
Lebron was fantastic, but there were times when he just stopped, or gave up.
Jordan was just unstoppable. Besides the stats he had no off button at all.

Because of his big hands, he was able to easily manoeuvre to the bucket whenever he wanted, over multiple guys in clogged lanes (pre 3-second rule).
Most unstoppable slasher ever. No hyperbole either-- watch the two plays.
Two lay-ins with Hakeem Olajuwon RIGHT IN HIS FACE. TWICE.
It wasn't from a run either like most slashers today-- took a few steps and jumped. That's it.

Shaq and Kenny are shocked and awed by MJ's 41 pts for the series on 51%, interrupting Ernie when Ernie was asking Barkley how it felt to lose that finals :oldlol:

This comparison should get laughed at by his first year on the Heat alone.

Sure you can take Jordan if you prefer team accomplishments. Jordan was playing with the 2nd best perimeter player of the 90s along with Horace Grant and the goat coach..
However Lebron, unfortunately wasn't that lucky. He had to carry a broken down, aging superstar who didn't know his role in the beginning which led to majority of the HEATs problems.. He wasn't fortunate enough to play under the helm of the greatest coach to ever grace the game, what was Jordan doing before P Jax..?
Meanwhile Lebron was doing what he has done his entire career. Carrying inexperienced coaches and players to the finals. Imagine if Lebron was playing with what Jordan had.. We might not even have the need for this discussion if so..
Lebron plays the cards he is dealt & makes the best of it, but unfortunately for Lebron he didn't get to play with a top prospect from the draft + the goat coach + a monster down low in Grant...
And when you think about it it's sad, that we've never gotten to see the talents of Lebron surrounded by a competent supporting cast that does what they are supposed to do, which makes Lebrons run to 4 straight finals even more impressive than anything Jordans team accomplished durring this time..
Has Jordan ever shot 60% in the finals? Has Jordan ever gone into 2 straight finals as the underdog and came out as a champion?
People want to talk about all the injuries during Lebrons run to opposing players then you might as well add some asterisk to Jordans during this time. Because if Magic doesn't get aids he's a lock for at least another title. And with a fully healthy lakers team with an extra piece or two added who knows how many rings he wins..

A lie. But even if it was true, he deserved all the problems that befell him.
He rigged the system at his peak. Despicable.
Anyway, try waste your peak years with Smush and Kwame.
