I don't think Rudy Gay can play PF as effectively and the overrating of Ariza around here is crazy.

All Ariza can do is jack 3s on offense. He is incredibly limited offensively compared to Parsons.

People also forget that Parsons was actually a solid defensive player his first year.

Nobody has made the team yet. People are going to get cut still. USA is short on bigs so since Parsons can play some 4 and he has the outside shot, there is a good chance to makes the team. It's kind of sad looking at what team USA's front line looks like.

This team is much better than the 2010 team that walked through the field en route to an easy World Cup win. Expecting Team USA to lose is wishful thinking on your part.

With Argentina falling off and Spain having a 3rd rate backcourt, there really isn't much competition. Maybe Canada will be decent by 2016.


They only beat Brazil by 2 in pool play so it wasn't a "walk in the park". That being said I don't see Durant losing this one, he 2-0 in FIBA play and he is better then 2010 when he dominated the tournament and was MVP.
