It was new and used cars, but I read the OP wrong. I have had an automatic door opener for my Subaru (it used keys as well) but the cars I had to move had a push button ignition. No key to start the car.

Yea its crazy. My car unlocks when it senses the keys and has push start. I assume most w push start do. I take my keys out of my pocket and put them in the middle cupholder while I drive. Haven't left them in the car yet. Btw by key I mean small plastic thing with buttons on it.
