View Full Version : Why are Palestinian lives worth more than Syrians:

The Britain-based Observatory said in July that 171,000 people have been killed since the conflict began in March 2011. 89033 civilians killed in Syria! And you know the number is much higher than that!

I am still looking for an explanation as to why there are no protests across Europe, America etc for the Syrians? what makes Palestinians more important than the Syrian victims. No life is more worthy than another.

\it is not about the number of lives killed, it is about the conflict itself.

Syria is a civil war, funded and orchestrated by foreign powers, but still a civil wars like many others (does any one remember how many died in Rwanda?) or did you know that in the Indonesian civil war in the 60s around 500000 people died in one year?

Israel/Palestine has many aspects that makes it the "star" conflict, Holy Land, one of the last occupations in the world, Holocaust, Jewish people outside Israel more than in the country, two of the most educated nations in the world (based on university degrees), lobbies that has has been existing since the 50s, 60s, Arabs having Oil, World needing Oil and so on.

I read once an article by an Palestinian poet, where he says that being in war with Israel is both a blessing and a curse: blessing because everyone in the world pay attention and take notice of it, and if the Palestinians had their problems with Pakistan for example, no one would care. And a curse because it IS with Israel, and thus, nobody will ever interfere or help the Palestinians (article was written in the 80s and the author was left wing, communist writer)

Can we agree that the Jewish people should get their land back?

Because despite every Jew telling you that the media has an anti-Jewish bias, the Jews run the media. Of course this is getting more coverage.

I look at my little girl and think to myself sometimes how in the hell can I follow all the tragedy that goes on in this world when I have her to take care of.

The main force driving global opinion and the propaganda war in either of these conflicts is the global Muslim community. They are the most heavily, most directly involved, have the strongest opinions and are the front runners who drive the general public opinion.

When it comes to Syria, the global Muslim community is actually on side of the rebels. IS and the rebels are trying to dispose of a secular dictator and create a Sunni Islamist theocracy. The global Muslim community might not unilaterally agree with the means these terrorists use to establish that theocracy, but in general that's a cause they can get behind. So that's why the brutal acts and atrocities (which are exponentially more horrendous and larger scale than anything from any side in the Israel-Palestine conflict) committed by IS in Syria and Iraq are marginalized in the media.

Where is the shock? These ISIS are beheading Christians, Opponents etc a few days ago they behead 50 Syrian soldiers yet it was barely on the news. Also blowing up ancient churches and shrines in Iraq.

The video is disturbing and graphic http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=190_1406399936

Well I asked Akra, in the first thread he created, about his previous account as it was obvious he was an alt and answered he was GOBB. Since then GOBB has not posted much only when Akra was temp banned GOBB started posting again often. I know Starface I just took Akra's word for it plus GOBB's behavior.

swap the word "muslim" for "jew" in your post and it reads word-for-word like one of those "jews control the world" conspiracies. :oldlol:

What is the conspiracy here? That 25% of the global population has a significant impact on the coverage of conflicts? A conspiracy would be if there is some kind of secret or behind the scenes plan involved.

It's because the media are cowards. They're scared to call the ISIS situation what it is. We have an obsessive "everything is equal" culture when reality is obviously otherwise. ISIS is what Islam is. One of its core principles is the establishment of Islamic empire (caliphate). We're supposed to pretend that Islam is just like any other religion when it's not. Imperialism is part of the religion.
