Finally got around to watching his stuff.

I think he's hilarious and very smart... about the Africa stuff. Because that's what he really knows.

It will be interesting to see what his style will be taking over the Daily Show. Maybe leaning on observations about the U.S. and poking fun as an outsider?

Or maybe he just does his research like Jon did and is well informed. But he is clearly extremely talented.

-Play clip of republicans
-Make le funny face
-20 year old college students roar with laughter like trained circus animals
-Make arrogant speech chastising whatever the Republican was saying
-Dummies at home now think they are informed

A fvcking monkey could do this job. Good luck to him.

He looked nervous his first show, especially when interviewing Kevin Hart. His second show, and second interview was much better. If the third show is what we can expect from this crew going forward it's in great hands.

He looks incredibly smooth for someone taking over an iconic show in another country. He still hasn't tipped his hand politically as far as where exactly he sits (I mean clearly left leaning but how far) and he still hasn't quite expanded the scope of the show as promised. But it feels like they're doing their best to keep it simple for the first little bit.

As a South African born person myself, everything he says about the place is just totally true, every time I watch him I'm in tears laughing as the people he talks about I always know someone just like that, who speaks just like that

Durban is the farthest South I ever got. But I plan on seeing the Cape in the next few years.

He reminds me a lot of Jon Stewart. They have similar styles and the writers seem to be the same. I don't think you are losing anything. Stewart had good presentation but so does this guy

I'm always surprised to hear how many people work on these shows for writing portion. 20 min show 4x a week. 8 of those mins are interviews that don't require much preparation. Of the remaining 12 mins, a few mins are simply mentioning a specific news story. Leaves 8 mins of actual material per episode. They have tons of full-time writers for 32 mins of fresh material per week total. I think we can get a bunch of people from Insidehoops forum for the amount of material they write per week.

Same with John Oliver's show on HBO. They are on ONE day a week total for 25 minutes. They usually have interviews for a third of the show. Their writing crew is huge for 16 minutes of material per week. What do they do throughout the week? I would do anything to have a stressfree fun job like that and get paid well with huge stretches off work.. They work in season format for crying out loud!!

I went bit off topic there but you get my point.

I never watched the John Stewart show and have no plans to watch Trevor Noah's how but some of the clips I have seen online are kinda cringe worthy and forced.

As a standup I thought he was hilarious although I read somewhere of his "joke stealing"

Saw some of his standup last night and he was pretty unfunny. Ended up changing the channel.

This dude Jermaine Fowler had me laughing a lot unexpectedly after watching his small cable special called 'Give Em Hell'.

People who really like unforced stand up comedy needs to peep this dude's special. Try Showtime On Demand, it's worth it

This guy sucks. His only joke on the daily show is to show clips of fox news and then say some variation of: "Because it's 2016."

Jermaine is one of the funny up-comers. Be on the look out, him and Lil Rel Howry.
